I saw an ad for this airline in the paper today. They fly out of Pease Airport in Portsmouth, NH and you have to fly into Sanford/Orlando. They have free parking and good prices. They are having a deal right now that if you purchase a air/hotel package the second person flies free. You have to book bt 1/28 and complete travel by 9/30. Offer not available 2/15-20 or 4/12-24. Hope this helps someone. My niece flew with them in November and liked them.

Thanks for the head up! We are flying Southwest out of Manchester for the first time in May. We just cannot justify the cost of flying out of Bangor anymore! But Portsmouth would be a better drive.

Have a great trip!

I think you'll like the Manchester Airport. It's the only one we like to use now. It's small and convenient to park. Southwest is great in and out of Manchester. Always on time, luggage arrives quickly, nothing is ever lost. I hope I'm not jinxing myself here!

Howdy Mainebound - we have flown from MHT a few times - Nice place , altho I am seriously considering Allegiant!! BTW my parents are in Etna, ME and we are play Hockey this weekend at the TJ Ryan arena in Brewer (on 1/7 we played at Bangor and 1/8 at the Alfond at Orono) Michelle

Hope you won your games. I know the Alfond well -- I teach at U Maine! Great to hear the good things about MHT, and SWA. :flower:

Hey Mainebound, I spent a year and a half at UMaine. Nice place! I have never heard of Pease. Thanks for the tip. We are trying to get south in May.

As long as they are not flying those 727 "Clipper Class" planes I would check them out. :)

My inlaws use Pease all the time and are actually flying to Sanford on Friday on Allegiant. PanAm used to be the only carrier.

I guess you need to consider a few things:
PROS:
cheap airfare
free parking in Portsmouth
easy airport to navigate

CONS:
flies into Sanford, FL. I used to work there. It's about an hour to Disney.
Can't utilize Magic Express
Would need a rental car.
I believe there are more flight cancellations than normal.

Weigh it out and go with what works for you. Unless it was a last minute trip I would be inclined to go Southwest or the other discount airline (name escapes me) out of Manchester.
