Would you rent from Dollar or Alamo? We are renting a minivan and have seen the exact same price from both. Is there something I should know to make a decision?

I really would like to try a SUV, but the codes aren't a great deal at all. There are five of us and I am worried about luggage with an SUV too? Anyone have any words of wisdom?

One potential pro with Alamo is that they let you choose your own vehicle. We rented an SUV from them once and liked the fact that we could choose a size we were comfortable with. I'm guessing that Dollar is like Avis, where they assign you a vehicle, but I'm sure somebody can either confirm or deny that.
One con I've run into at Alamo is that often they have a long line when the other car rental desks are virtually deserted. Of course, we tend to fly in very late, so maybe they are all crowded during the day.
Hope this helps!

Long lines can be a problem at Alamo since they are the "official" WDW car rental agency. Everyone who books a Disney package that includes a car will be given Alamo. If you go with Dollar the lines are likely to be shorter. However, you can also join Dollar's Fastlane (free). At the Dollar counter, members have their own line and will be taken next, regardless of how many are in line. We have used this many times and it's a breeze to get a car quickly. Unfortunately, Alamo only offers Quicksilver membership (same deal) to corportate accounts. I've used just about every airport car rental over the years and always go with the best price. If it's matched with Dollar, I choose Dollar for the Fastlane.
