All These "I'm Not Going to WDW Ever Again!" Threads

How are these various negative threads about the attractions or a strategy. The Disboards is getting worse and worse with whiny negative threads.

Is there a way for a mod to combine them all into one mega thread rather than having people start the same thread over and over again?

The strategy in play is that people hope that Disney is monitoring these boards occasionally for feedback, and people hope they are making a difference, if even a miniscule one.

Yeah but it makes finding helpful threads harder and harder. If I wanted to read about never going back to disney I wouldn't be on the DISboards! At at least limit these to ONE thread!

I will bring out the standard reply when anyone complains about people complaining ~ the threads are easy to ignore and/or skip over.

If they can't start whiny negative threads about not going back, you shouldn't be able to start a whiny negative thread about their whiny negative thread.

I'm not saying that to be mean, I'm just trying to bring a little clarity. If their thread isn't in the right place or being helpful, neither is yours. You talk about how it's harder and harder to find the helpful threads. This thread is also taking up space on the front page.

It's a Disney board where people talk about all things Disney. Some people are giving up their Disney trips, and are saddened by it, because they still love Disney, it just won't work for them for one reason or another. They are doing the same thing they've always done on this board: find like-minded people and bonding over their feelings.

But when they take over an entire board that gets a little old. Its the same thing over and over again. I understand the purpose of the Dis and get so much help from it, but I agree with OP that these are getting repetitive, irritating and exhausting to have to keep 'ignoring/skipping over'.

No.

It's the beauty of the internet, everyone has equal rights to be heard. Everyone gets to voice their thoughts, positive or negative. I used to drink the Kool-Aid just like a lot of hardcore Disney proponents here, so I get where you are coming from, but I don't agree with shoving anyone into a corner for their opinion.

There are lots of topics on the TPAS board that don't interest me. Instead of butting in on the thread (or starting a new one) to say "I'm not interested in this topic, therefore you can't talk about it", I skip it.

It isn't hard.

You're tired of reading threads about people complaining about Disney so you start a thread complaining about the people complaining. Fascinating.

Complaining about complaining about complaints! We could do this all day

I didnt see where the OP was trying to tell anyone not to post, just questioning the validity of that kind of post being on the Theme Parks Attraction and Strategies Board.

I guess by telling everyone that you arent going back to Disney is a "strategy" per se but it seems if that kind of venting would belong on another board unless the intent of the DIS is to drive more traffic to their site and those kind of threads generate said traffic.

I find it quite amusing when people say that it is easy to pass by threads they have no interest in but post in threads to complain about a person who is complaining about other people who are complaining ad nasuem about the FP+ system

I guess they miss the irony it in all.

No complaints from me. Actually, all those "I'm ever going again" threads make me happy. One less family that might be in line in front of me on my next trip. I'm just making an observation about the irony of it all.

This particular board is getting so hard to read. It's just the same topic, again and again and again.

I agree, there should be ONE thread to complain, one to discuss FP+ ad nauseum and them all other threads.

I will say that I'm amused at the folks who are saying they won't go to WDW again because of the FP+ thing. I believe that people are seeing only the potential problems and letting that dissuade them from even trying. I think Disney has its hands full counteracting this perception, which is bigger than I've seen for any other change before. Yes, even bigger than the change actually enforcing the FP return window.

If you aren't happy, then don't go. It's really quite simple. What good does whining about it do? What I don't get are all the people complaining how awful the new system is when they haven't even tried it yet. :confused3

Actually no, they don't. You're subject to the rules of where you are posting. More importantly you're limited to what the community will tolerate... Just like in any other social situation.

OP... you just gotta ignore the whiners. They just want someone to validate their negativity. And if everyone would stop posting on their threads they would stop.

And how is THIS thread any different? It is neither helpful to planning or strategy, nor is it positive, and it is, quite frankly, just whining.

BE the change you want to see. Want a more "planny" board? Post some more "planny" stuff.
