All the way from Japan to enjoy the WONDER of Disney

I'm not that cruel.;) I'm not going to make you wait.;)

Dean the GREATEST DISNEY CM EVER and my new bestest best friend had chosen my family to be the GRAND MARSHALS for the Where Dreams Come True Parade later in the day. I explained to the family and they join in with the smiles and even a little dance:dance3: Dean the GREATEST DISNEY CM EVER then explains where to be and what time. He gives us a map with his name and says have a great day. I want to hug him:hug: but instead shake his hand and say see you then with about a 100 thank yous.

I'm floating on :cloud9: as we head off to ride Splash Mountain and begin our day.

I even take a picture with the girls making a peace sign like Junna

Next: Can it get any better? You better believe--Yes it can!!!:) :) :)

i am so happy for you & your family...i would be on :cloud9: too if that happened to us...i cannot wait to go to disney...:woohoo:

Wow! That is amazing! How cool to be chosen to be Grand Marshal's! I can't wait to hear all about it and all the other magical things that happened to you that day.

So many people on these boards say their wife is beautiful, but yours is really gorgeous! If you have a chance, tell us how you ended up in Japan and married to her!

It is really cool of you to give out those pins and to trade special pins with CM so that other guests can find them later.

You seem like a great stepdad and unfortunately I think part of being a stepparent is that you don't get the recognition. My parents divorced when I was a teen & I wasn't too fond of my stepmother because all I could see was how she was different from us, e.g., her cooking is not as good as my mom's. But since I had kids I have seen what a great grandmother she is to them and she really loves them and is so generous. I appreciate her now, but she had to wait a couple of decades for it.

Heres DDJ after a shower with the waffles.

I'm sorry, but that sentence struck me as really funny! Were the waffles a little soggy after the shower??:rotfl2:

:rotfl: Ok Ok I get the point. Sorry recently got a promotion and trying to get it all straight. I told them about trip writing priorities, but they didn't listen. Some people;)

After meeting Dean and getting our wishes granted the girls told me that two days before when they had seen a family in the MGM parade they kind of wished it was them. So off we go skipping to Splash Mountain to ride the first ride of the day. It felt very strange/special having a secret that no one else in the park knew. We were all on:cloud9: We arrive at Splash Mountain. the original plan was to get a fast pass, but there was no need. We walked straight on. This was a big and welcome surprise for everyone. Back in Japan Splash Mountain is one of the most popular and there is never shorter than a 45 minute wait. Afterthe first time DDJ wanted to go again. I said just a minute and ran next door to get a Fast Pass for Big Thunder. we then rode Splash Mountain two more times waiting no longer than 5 minutes to get on.
After that we went to Big Thunder and were on within 5 minutes there too. After the first ride our Fast Pass was good so we went straight on again.
I was like WOW:banana: Even though Tokyo Disney is great and my favorite now, it can get crowded easily and short waits are not usually possible.

Then it was off to Pirates. I really like the new additions. A 5 minute shower came about but we were still bouncing, skipping and dancing away around the park. I didn't even mind the extra time spent in the shops. On the way back out of Adventureland we rode the Jungle Cruise and I had a Dole Float.--VERY GOOD!! It was time to go across the hub to Tomorrowland. On the way we took the picture below.
Notice DDA was carrying her Minnie Skirt because it got wet on Splash Mountain.

Next Up: I meet PUSH, they meet Stitch and I ride my favorite attraction at MK. Also a COOL surprise from Space Mountain.

That is great that you had such short waits for Splash and Thunder and that you got to ride multiple times. Very lucky and highly unusual!

Wow, you must have been pretty wet after riding splash mountain 3 times in a row!

Ok great job but when are you going to post more we want to hear about the parade!!!!!!!

maybe it's not such a good idea for me to read this report....
reading about riding splash mountain, my absolute favorite ride in all of WDW (#2 is ToT) is making me JEALOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'm trying to remember to the beginning of the report...i think you were at WDW in mid August? sounds like a pretty spectacular time to go in terms of crowds...

oh and by the way, congratulations on the promotion!! :thumbsup2
i hope it came with more MONEY - for another trip to WDW and cruise on DCL....
although it sounds like this one will be hard to top...

ok....so onwards tokyodisneydad.....tomorrowland and space mountain await us...

I was there at the very end of August. I think the week that school started in the area. . I'll continue soon everyonepopcorn:: Just be patient;)

Ok let's go to Tomorrowland. Going across the bridge into TL we see a roped off area and signs that say WET PAINT. The signs had Stitch on them. DDJ wanted one to take home. With a quick glance around I get one for her. She was really happy.:)
Finally in TL we hear "BURP". I turn and see PUSH. Now if you don't know PUSH, PUSH is a talking and moving trashcan. I had learned about PUSH here on the boards and really had hoped to see it. So I stop and no one else is paying attention. My girls keep walking, but I call DDM back and explain. She doesn't believe me, so I introduce her to PUSH. PUSH says "Nice to meet you." and makes a joke about her age compared to me. We take some video and I have a too brief conversation with a trash can. If you see PUSH it really is worth taking a minute and saying Hi.

The girls had missed it all and wouldn't believe me. They were excited to have found Stitch and wanted a picture. Again we were lucky. Buzz lightyears line was long, but there was only one family waiting for Stitch. Picture time!!:3dglasses

After meeting Stitch we go over to Space Mountain to ride, but it was closed. :scared1: Don't worry the CM said come back in 20 minutes. The girls went to the shops and Kiyomi and I go to ride the People Mover. To me it will always be the People Mover. This is the most fascinating ride for me. The year before Kiyomi didnt ride she wanted shopping. This year I insisted:hug: She was happy to go with me. and really enjoyed it. Going through we notice that the lights are on in the area that you view Space Mountain. I'm amazed to see SM for the first time with the lights on. :cool1: IT WAS AMAZING!!!! and VERY VERY COOL!!:cool1: Kiyomi felt the same. So with time still to spare we go grab the girls and get on the PM again. This time the lights are off so the girls miss it. Thats ok-- I take a chance in the dark to grab a SMOOCH:love: ;)
After getting off we make it back to SM--Not open yet but we get a FP and wait in the front of the line. about 3 minutes later we walk straight through and get on. SM is great, but for some reason I like SM in Japan better.

SM checked off we decide to ride Buzz, and the Stitch Great Escape while we wait for our SMFP time in about 30 minutes. We actually ride Buzz twice. I notice a big difference between Japan's Buzz and WDW. WDW the tragets are all the same shape. In Japan there are 4 different shapes that are worth different scores.
Then its back on SM.
We see its now 11:45 and we need to run to get to our 12:10 reservation for lunch at the castle. I look back and am amazed at how much we had done in 2 and half hours. The day was just plain--No other word for it --Magical:wizard:

Next Up: Lunch with a bunch of Princesses

Here I am on my favorite ride. It will always be the People Mover to me:love: Notice the big stupid smile:banana:

I would love to see SM with the lights on! I know everyone says it is dirty and takes away the "magic" but I've always been curious about what goes on behind scenes!

And you are so right-- your wife is very beautiful!:cutie:

I can understand people's feelings , but if I had the chance to ride SM with the lights on just once I would jump at it. From what I saw it didn't look dirty just very mechanical. I still thought it was SUPER :cool1: though. :yay:
