All the way from Japan to enjoy the WONDER of Disney

Well as we exit the boat of course I have a bit to say to the careless CM. I'm trying to explain what happened and also can they check for the glasses. Yes I was speaking English not Japanese and at this point I'm still calm. Suddenly every CM there only speaks Spanish. I finally get a manager and basically am told tough tacos. I say fine that I would go to guest services and take it up with someone there. So out of Mexico and to Guest services we go.

At Guest services I'm still calm (I think):rolleyes1 although smoke have been slowly seeping out of my left ear. I wait in line and get a CM from Brazil. His English is Ok, but I want an American that I can clearly explain to at that point. I wait for about 10 minutes and get a lady that does try to help, but I am still getting tough tacos. I ask for the supervisor and take a seat to wait. No one ever asked if my wife was injured or ok. It takes about 30 minutes to get a supervisor. DM says just forget it, but by this time I'm    My beloved EPCOT is letting me down.:guilty:

so how is the wife doing? is she o.k....i hope this didn't ruin the rest of your day at epcot...if that happened to me dh would of been ticked too...i feel for ya...anyways we encountered the same problem at an amusement park(cedar point) we go to and 90% of the workers do not speak flipping english...i actually had this one guy from nigeria or somewhere from africa look at me like he couldn't understand what i was saying and gives me this puzzled look on his face  and grabs someone else, who didn't speak english to take my order...

I can not believe that happened and how it was handled! Disney is usually so well known for its Guest Services. I would have noted the name of who I talked to and written a letter of complaint to Disney about their attitude.

Hi Tokoyodisneydad I'm just loving your TR and cant wait for more. Your girls are so beautiful. On our trip we also ate at Corral Reef and loved it. My brother is still talking about how he want more lobster

Sorry I'm not sure exactly how to quote multiple people, but thanks everyone for continuing to read along. Believe me it did "inhale" as you put it and unfortunately the day just got worse from there. That story is coming real soon. What happened played some part in the rest of the day being bad, but I can't blame it all on that. Kiyomi is fine now. Her back was hurting for a day or two, but she refused to have it checked while on vacation. It didn't ruin the vacation. After the EPCOT day is finished you will see we had an EXTRA MAGICAL day at the Magic Kingdom, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. At the time this all happened I didn't think about getting names. Sometimes I wish I had, but other times I'm glad I didn't. I wasted enough time already with it, so it's time to move on.

COMING up next: My run around the world and tempers are high:mad:

Just to answer your question about multi-quoting. At the bottom of each person's post there are three icons. The first one says quote. Click on this one if you want to immediately respond to that one single post. If you want to multi-quote you will click on the middle icon on each post that you want to quote. Once you have clicked on the multi-quote button on each post scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the Post Reply icon. You will then be taken to the text box where all the posts you selected will show up. Hope I explained this properly!

Well it's time to move this bus along.:cool1:

After our Guest Services:headache: DM and I go to Test Track to pick up DDs. I feel a little better seeing:dance3: from them. They really like Test Track and had had time to ride twice. It's time to go back to World Showcase. We pass Mexico with a:sad2: and move on to Norway. Norway has one of my favorite hidden Mickeys. Just look in the Viking ship just before you load the boats. I'm happy to say these CMs were careful with loading everyone and checking safety. We all enjoy the Maelstrom, but skip the movie at the end. If it's your first time then see the movie. Norway is a beautiful country.
After getting off the ride we take our time looking around the shops. Things are looking good for my one pretrip request concerning EPCOT. Smiles are creeping back on to everyone's faces:) as we take some Viking pictures.

We leave Norway and I hear--"I'm hungry, I'm tired" Suddenly I knew where we were going next and any hopes of a slow tour just went down the drain. I try to point out that we had eaten only a few hours ago and even try to offer to get some snacks, but NO. It's off to Japan or nothing. I have mixed feelings about this. For me I get enough Japanese food living in Japan, but the girl's missed Japanese food and the Japan pavilion was going to be our best chance to get something close. I remind everyone about my one request, but I get:guilty: :sad2: :snooty: :sad1: faces all around. I'm not happy at that moment and even though I don't say it I say "LET"S GO!" and take off ahead of everyone. As we pass China I snap a blurry photo of China without stopping. DDM knows I'm  . I keep going with barely a look at China. I do the same as we pass Italy, Germany and America. Snapping blurry photos as we go. It never occured to me that we could have gone back later. The whole Mexico thing was still boiling and I was tired of teenagers at that moment. (Don't get me wrong I love the girls, but sometimes:scared1: )
Well we get to Japan faster than a supersonic jet. I start breathing again and decide to try to be :) , but I have now made DDM  and shes not ready to:hug: and makeup. I try anyway. I ask the girls what they want and DDM what she wants. I tell them I'll order because I like to showoff my Japanese skills to the CMs. DDM says she will order herself. This makes us have a little:scared: argument. Well we get the food and eat in silence.:confused3
We finish in Japan about 40 minutes later and I think we have half a world to enjoy, but everyone else is still jetlagged and tired and want to go back to the POP. Knowing when I'm beat and realizing I will not see EPCOT again for a few years I take off on another:mad: run snapping blurry photos as I go.

Then it happens:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Stay tuned to see how THE BOY changes the rest of the night from bad to worse

You can't stop there!!!! It's amazing that a teenage boy half the world away can cause havoc on your trip. :lmao:

Don't worry I would have been annoyed if my family did that to me as well. If it had been me I would have sent them to Japan by themselves and told them I would meet them there.

That picture of the girls in the Norway shop is great. It looks like at least some fun was had that evening.

I was really annoyed, but held most of it in. We did have our fun moments that day and to be fair to the family they were really jet lagged. The 13 hour difference between Japan and WDW does play tricks with your mind.:scared1:

That is good that the day wasn't completely bad and you can definitely tell in your pictures that there were plenty of fun moments throughout the day. I totally understand about Jet Lag. It was terrible when I went on my trip to Italy back in high school. Really tough to get used to.:sad2:

whew...what a day....i would have gone BALLISTIC in mexico....
what an idiot CM....i can't believe it..usually they take things so slooooooooooooooooooow with that ride...
and i also would have gone to guest services....how ANNOYING!!!!!!!!

as for racing through that side of epcot...yup..that's what usually happens to us as well....mexico/norway and then blurrr....except we've managed to get the kids to permit us to see the movie at the American Adventure (and to watch the singers)...but that took a lot of years to get them to concede.....

thanks for the ride tips!!! i'm going to PM you right now.....:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

PS--Does anyone remember the show at MGM that you could be part of old TV shows like Cheers, I love Lucy and Gilligan's Island? I used to love that show.

i just noticed your PS from an earlier part of your report..
yes i remember it...it was a lot of fun....was it called superstar television?...something like that....
and the show that was before the drew carey thing was also better than that drew carey thing...(where they picked people from the audience to add sound to a movie clip)..

Your right it was Superstar Television. I wonder why they stopped that show:confused3 I actually got to be in the CHEERS scene one time.

Ok it's time to close out the terrible day at EPCOT:dance3:

Just a little reminder before I give you this final update from EPCOT.

1) My one request was to not rush through EPCOT
2)I had just been rushed from Norway to Japan nonstop
3)I spent 45 minutes eating a poor imitation of food that I can have everyday and eating it in silence
4)This was a family trip
5)THE BOY had been the only thing on DDAs mind since landing

Here we go. I rush out of Japan past Morocco and through France where I would normally get some sweets( an eclair or something. I do snap photos that where ok and start for England. We get to England I really want to stop in a shop and mention all the hours I had spent waiting in shops for them. :rolleyes1
OOPs big mistake:eek: I get:mad: and more of lets go back to the hotel, etc. DDA is one of the loudest protesters but then...... It all changes... What does she see........Can anyone guess? :sad2:

I have no clue:confused:

:headache: If you guessed those little red telephone booths that you see in England then you guessed right. Suddenly DDA isn't tired and wants to call Japan and say Hi to THE BOY:scared1: I don't say a word--I refuse:headache: DDM reminds her that it's like 5 in the morning in Japan. Of course an argument pursues---"He will be awake, I miss him, It's my money....etc. etc." Then she says " But it would be cool to call him from here." ....Like he would know???? I almost lose it, but hey this is mom's department. Being a step father is SO difficult sometimes. Even though I would have loved to shop, I was proud that DM put her foot down. Of course DDA storms off, followed DDJ DDM and me bringing up the rear. I snap a picture of everyone storming through England.
I do a little dance:dance3: that DM is not after me anymore:dance3: :yay:

At this point I'm tired, ready to throw in the towel and get back on a plane and go back to Japan.
A big argument between mom and daughters follows back at the POP. To the people in the room next door that night. I'm sorry!!!:scared:
I laid in bed in tears with a broken heart and not understanding alot of what was said. When they argue in Japanese I lose track.:confused3

Well EPCOT is done, The :scared: horror is over.

Don't go away--The next day at MK would be one of the greatest and magical of our trip despite a REALLY scary thunderstorm.
