It's time to spill the beans about Mexico. After watching the Muppet Mobile and really enjoying it in spite of the heat we start for World Showcase. Being a left to right kind of guy this puts Mexico in our sights first. On our way we have our first Dream Team member sighting. He also has just entered Mexico. Maybe he just wants a taco, I don't know. I'm really not worried about the DT that much. If my girls get a Dream that would be great, but I'm not going to spend the time chasing them down.
Ok back to Mexico. The inside of Mexico is absolutely beautiful and next trip (no daughters) I plan on having a romantic meal there with DM, maybe. Not sure now that she will ever want to step foot in Mexico again. So we go to get on the boat ride and as we enter we see the DT member again.
Ok WARNING heres where the day gets ugly-- Turn your head if you have dreams of Disney always being perfect.
We go to get on the boat DDJ and DDA get in first. Then I get in holding all the shopping bags and cameras. As Kiyomi gets in holding her NEW 20$ sunglasses the CM decides to release the boat before she sits down. This makes her lose her balance and almost throws her into the seat behind her. Luckily she was able to get a hold of the seat, but to do so those $20 glasses are now in the drink.

I'm not worried about that at the moment though. First I want to check on her. She seems ok but her back has twisted and is hurting. I want to yell at the CM to stop the ride so we can get her off and she wants to get her glasses, but too late we are now around the corner.
I don't remember much about this ride. The girls later said it was fun. Being the attentive teenagers they are, they had missed their mom almost being thrown out of the boat.
Well as we exit the boat of course I have a bit to say to the careless CM. I'm trying to explain what happened and also can they check for the glasses. Yes I was speaking English not Japanese and at this point I'm still calm. Suddenly every CM there only speaks Spanish. I finally get a manager and basically am told tough tacos. I say fine that I would go to guest services and take it up with someone there. So out of Mexico and to Guest services we go.
We take a shortcut near the first aid station. I ask DM if she needs to go there. She says no that she will be OK and that we should go to GS. I tell the daughters to go to Test track and ride and we will meet them there.
At Guest services I'm still calm (I think)

although smoke have been slowly seeping out of my left ear. I wait in line and get a CM from Brazil. His English is Ok, but I want an American that I can clearly explain to at that point. I wait for about 10 minutes and get a lady that does try to help, but I am still getting tough tacos. I ask for the supervisor and take a seat to wait. No one ever asked if my wife was injured or ok. It takes about 30 minutes to get a supervisor. DM says just forget it, but by this time I'm

My beloved EPCOT is letting me down.
Background info: I did a 6 month Music internship at EPCOT years ago and saw similiar situations. The customers well being was always checked and I saw many a voucher given to cover damaged or lost property.
Finally the supervisor comes out and before even hearing what I have to say she says and I quote. "Tough Taco!" Well not exactly , but something to that effect. I said to her that the CM should be more careful that DM could have been injured. Suddenly she goes into protect her caboose mode and wants to call an ambulance. I tell her exactly how I feel and in not so magical words about her now trying to protect herself. I tell her that all we wanted was the glasses to be replaced. I find out that the reason itv took so long was she was talking to the CMs in Mexico, but she didn't want my point of the story.
She hands me a card and says I can file a claim with some department and that it would take 30 days. I say we will be back in Japan by then she says "Tough Taco " one more time and we leave.

This has taken an hour and half of my day.
Ok I've vented. Oh I forgot the Dream Team Member was giving out Dream Lanyards at the boat ride exit. If we wouldn't have been talking to the staff we would have gotten one. As it was we missed it by one family.
