All the presents are opened.....

and the wrap is thrown out. Dinner and dessert are gone. Elf is on the television and DH and the kids are laughing out spontaneously. Life is good. Life is very good.

Gone is the stress, the hard feeling from yesterday, and the worries of tomorrow.


And best of all the kids bought me a Disney plaque that says:

"If you dream it, you can do it". ~ Walt Disney. And on the back of the plaque a small note that next year, my dream comes true. Christmas will be a Disney, no stress for me, and presents will be opened New Years Day.

Yes, life is very, very good. Hope everyone else found a little Christmas cheer this year.

We woke up to our very 1st White Christmas. The kids were so excited over EVERYTHING they got and were in great spirits. Dh was like a little kid playing in the snow and just so happy today. I was content and just enjoyed being with family. Now everyone, except me, is napping. I will be waking the kids and dh soon and we will watch Toy Story 3 together while eating Rotel dip and junk food since we break all the rules on Christmas! THIS is what life is all about!

Miracle snow is So much better on Christmas. So glad that your husband and children received the joy from it. Nap time is shortly here also. Thanks for the reminder too, I made Rotel and need to take it out for everyone to snack tonight. (we are a bit cookied out today!)

We have had the best day! DS24 sneaked into teh house sometime during the night(he lives elsewhere), so he was here when we all got up. Christian has been happily playing with his new musical toy all day. We were going to go to the movies today, but it started snowing around noon so I called it off. It's just too messy for me to get out there with Christian in his wheelchair if I don't have to. DD17 and DS24 managed to get out to see Tron--DD loved it, DS says "meh." I didn't even cook the big Christmas dinner! Sure, I cooked the ham. But the kids were at the movies and I was full of chocolate and lost interest in making dinner. I'll have another go at it tomorrow, haha.

This was a good day.

I just got home from work (went in at 8:30 AM). No Christmas magic for me, and I won't open presents for a couple more weeks. I understand why we have to be open, and I saw many children's faces glowing with holiday spirit, but it doesn't make wasting my entire day any easier

I am really sorry that your Christmas is delayed. We have been there before, and I pray that we stay where we are now.

And to the other posters, glad your days went well. Sometimes the anticipation and stress lead us down a path we don't want to walk, other times we have family to walk us on the straight lane!
