Sorry, search is disabled so I'm asking a question that I'm sure has been asked and answered but here goes...

How is All Stars Music? I remember very mixed reviews, but that was a while ago.

Thanks,
Julie

We loved our stay at ASMu. WE stayed in the Jazz Inn and had a short walk to the main pool and the main hall/bus stop. They are about your average Motel 6 size hotel with the magic of Disney added. If you are interested in an on site resort that offers a clean room to sleep in, hot showers to wash with and a pool to relax in all at a fairly good price, the All Stars are the way to go (and Pop Century now too!)

I really don't think that there is a bad building in ASMu. We walked through the whole thing and tops it would take you 6 minutes to walk from the Country building to the main hall. That's with tired feet. LOL!!

I have stayed at all three of the All Stars. Some trips have been 4 of us and some have been only 2. The room size is small but if you use the drawer space and put closed up suitcases on the floor of the closet area you still have room to walk.
I love the food courts in All-Stars...lots of chioces and almost always receive hot fresh food. (not like fast-food where its done before you order)
There are two pools.
If you did not reserve preferred buildings try to get in the Jazz section building 2 and 9 try this for the map of the buildings.

If you have any specfic questions please ask. I'm sure others will give you some info too.

being budget travelers, we always stay at the all stars. we had been to sports (okay) and movies (even better) and were planning our next trip. by then i had found the dis board and knew that movies did not usually offer the ap discounts, so we elected to try music. i was apprehensive, after reading some reviews, but...

we loved it! the theming is so cool, the food court is decent, mousekeeping is good and the transportation is wonderful! the rooms are fine for our family of 4 and the pools are the best of all the all stars, imho. not too noisy or crowded either. we were in the broadway building the first year and the walk was not bad, even with the kids late at night. we were in the jazz building last time, which is closer to pool, food court and busses. there is a rose garden out front that is beautiful.

this is our 'home away from home' now and we're looking forward to going back next year. i think you'll enjoy it!

Thanks for the replies. This is a last minute, short visit, and we're looking forward to it.

We stayed in the Calypso building at All Star Music the last time we went and it was great. We were in building one right next to the main hall (I guess we were lucky) a very quick walk to the bus stop, the busses were very reliable and came by quite frequently. The food court was great, you got a good meal for what you would pay for it. I only ate in the food court once though, we were too busy running around the parks the rest of the time to eat any more meals at the resort. If you can request a preferred location I would, they are closer to the bus stop and main hall. Trust me the extra money per night is well worth it, especially at the end of the day when you get off the bus dead tired to walk to your room!

Just spent 2 nights at ASMU jazz inn before our DCL xmas cruise. The rate was $49 which was a bargain of course, but I wouldn't want to spend more time there. The room was dirty (hair on the bathroom floor and in the tub) and was small. Food court was good and the pools would have been good (too cold while we were there). The morning we checked out they knocked on our door to clean our room at 8:30! We were just about ready to leave anyway. I've been to SOG and POR (loved that place). We had a car and parking was good. If it's a quick trip it will be alright!
