All Stars Music or All Stars Movies?

Hi list,

I was checking the Value Resorts for March '08 and found that Pop seems to be sold-out!!

On my last visit to WDW (Jan '06), we stayed at ASMu. Very nice, courteous cast members, etc. We "hopped" to ASMo to have a look and found it in need of (a little) maintenance and more crowded than ASMu.

We would like to visit WDW again on March '08. As to have a different experience, we wanted to stay at POP, but it seems it is all booked out. So I'm left with ASMu or ASMo (it seems there is an ESPN event, so I suppose AS Sports would be packed)

Which one would you prefer? I heard about ASMo having been remodeled, so maybe my observations are not valid anymore. BTW, we'll be using WDW transportation.

Thanks for your help.

My family and I just returned from a six night stay at All Star Music, Oct. 7-12. All of the rooms have been refurbished. Our room looked new and fresh and smelled new and fresh as well. The cast members were helpful and friendly. Since you have stayed there before, perhaps you want a new experience, but for our family, Music was perfect: fun theming without going over the top, not too noisy, and designed well for convenience.

I stayed at Movies and my kids loved the theme. It was very quite and had no problems here. Love the resort theming as well

I would go with the one that doesn't share the buses with Sports. Sports is the first pick up and by the time it gets to te next one (which i think is Music) it is practically full and the people from Music are more then likely to have to stand. Movies (i think) has their own bus for the parks. They only have to share with the other two resorts to the waterparks and DTD. I'd research the buses before deciding. You can always use the facilities at the other 2 resorts any time. When I researched buses for our last trip I chose Sports, because it was the first pick up and the first for drop off. Hope that help some!

We stayed at Movies in January and really enjoyed our stay. We almost always shared buses with the other All Star hotels but it was rarely a problem.
We are going in December and will be staying at ASMusic because we wanted to try something new and it seems to be getting great reviews.
I'm sure you will have a great time at either resort!

if you stay at music you can go to sports and movies for a change you are in the middle of the 3 resorts its nice to go for a walk to see each resort for a change,,nice short resort hop

We just returned from ASMusic and really liked it, esp. the activities there like the big screen poolside movies and bingo. There was a schedule every day for something fun going on, even a Wii bowling tournament in the food court. Speaking of the food court, Pop wins hands down for selection at lunch/dinner but breakfast seems to be the same at all the value resorts. We took a walk through Movies where we've stayed before and it seemed a bit dreary compared to all the fun going on at Music. The refurbished rooms at ASMu are beautiful, plus they have new pillow top type mattresses. So as you can see, I'd lean toward Music.---Kathy

List,

Thanks for your answers. When we stayed at ASMusic (Jan. 2006) it was the first time we had been on-site and yes, it was a really nice experience.

It seems that this continues to be a good option, so I'm leaning on that direction too..

Thanks again,
