All star sports - under construction pins?

We're leave in 4 days for our trip and are staying at All Star Sports. I see people talking about construction and now I have a random question.

A while back (maybe 7 ish years ago?) we stayed at wilderness lodge while they were doing construction. When we checked in there were some cute little pins in our room that said "pardon our pixie dust" and had mickey and the gang in construction gear. When I look online it seems there are similar sets for other resorts, so I'm not sure how common of a practice this is.

Anyone stay at All Star Sports recently? Is the constriction still ongoing? Any chance they are giving out any little construction pins?

Refurbishment of Guest Rooms at Sports is ongoing.

We are here now and also stayed at Sports in August.

We did not receive "Construction Pins".

We DID receive "Construction Pins" years ago when we stayed at CBR,BUT that was when Old Port Royale was COMPLETELY shut down for a total rebuild.

Dining was in a Tent(Centertown Buffet),the bar was in a "Trailer" and the "Shop" was also a "Trailer" so it was a major thing.

I don't "think" Disney gives out "Construction Pins" if it is just a Room refurb.

Thank you for the reply! That's good to know, that makes sense if it was for a more major construction project. I'm not sure how extensive the wilderness lodge construction was when we were there. I didn't know much about Disney back then to know what all was changing. But I do remember hearing construction noises from the rooms, so maybe it was a bigger project as well.

I think that would make sense if they gave Construction Pins at WL if it was just a Room Refurb because the rooms are Indoor and would cause more disruption than the rooms at All-Star Sports.

We have a set of the WL pins too from our honeymoon. There was definitely construction going on at the resort at the time. The Cascade cabins were being built and the whole area from the lodge to the water looked like a construction zone.

We just got back from All Star Sports on Saturday and, if I hadn’t known there were refurbs going on, I wouldn’t have known. DH had no idea. We didn’t get any pins this time either.

I've stayed at POP many times during room renovations and stayed at Sports in September during room renovations. No pins. It's a fairly non-invasive type of construction since they close the building and don't bother anyone.

That would have been when the WL was converting the entire South Wing into a DVC (Copper Creek Villas), a major construction project.

I think there is a difference between doing room renovations as Sports is doing and having part of the resort torn up - as was the case with CSR when GDT was being built, CBR when the Riviera was being built, or even WL when Boulder Ridge was being built. That more than anything probably determines if they make pins or not.
