All Star Sports to MGM to Wide World of Sports

My DS will be in a soccer tournament in January and staying at All Star Sports. It looks like the only transportation to Wide World of Sports is first going to MGM so...

How long does it take to get from All Star Sports to MGM by bus and then how long does it take to get from MGM to Wide World of Sports by bus?

My estimates -

All Star Sports to MGM - about 20 minutes plus any time spent waiting for the bus

MGM to WWOS - about 10 minutes plus any time spent waiting for the bus

Be sure to ask at the All Star Front Desk or Guest Services desk about transportation to the WWOS. Sometimes, they have special bus service between the All Star resorts and the WWOS for those participating in the tournaments and events.

Also ask what time the last bus leaves WWOS for MGM. IIRC, it stops running fairly early in the evening. You should be able to catch a cab at the WWOS if you miss the bus or need to get there in a hurry. Cabs are plentiful at the resorts as well.

Thanks so much for this info. It is exactly what I needed to know. I think there might be buses directly from All Star to WWOS but I'm not sure. I just don't want the boys late for their own games

By the way, we stayed in Shoreview at the Hilton Garden Inn last summer when the boys played in the USA Cup Soccer Tournament in Blaine.

The Disney Bus route Disney/Mgm to/from Wide World of Sports runs from 8 am to 8 pm every day regardless on whets going own at the Sports Complex.

Be sure to ask at the All Star Front Desk or Guest Services desk about transportation to the WWOS. Sometimes, they have special bus service between the All Star resorts and the WWOS for those participating in the tournaments and events.

Yes many times teams or event organizers will hire out an outside transportation bus companies to provide a bus service picking up from a select few resorts to/from the Wide World of Sports. So you should check with the Guest Services or your Team Event organizer for transportation details.

The times might have changed but that bus to the WWOS runs everyhalf hour on the half hour. We've used it many a time when they used to have the AA baseball there (Orlando Ray's - really miss doing that). It's great and easy. Enjoy.
