Hey there. I'll be staying at All Star Movies and want to go to Blizzard Beach for the day. On the maps it looks really close. Could we walk it? How long would it take? Apparently it would take around 40 mins. if I use the transport system. Is this a 'safer' option?
Cheers Guys.

Hi there... other people might shoot me down on this but, although I've never tried it, I wouldn't recommend walking to any of the parks from hotels unless they have a especially designed walkway. I'm not away of pedestrian crossings or anything like that. My recommendation - take the bus!

40 mins on the bus seems an awful long time.. I'm not sure I've been on a bus for that long to any park.. and we stayed at AllStar Music last year...

Blizzard Beach is walkable from the All Star hotels. On the way you can stop at McDonalds for a break. I don't think there are any sidewalks, but I have never really noticed. It may be a 20 to 25 minute walk depending on which of the All Stars you are staying at. Sports is the closest followed by Music and than Movies.

You are NOT allowed to walk anyplace at WDW that doesn't have sidewalks. They will pick you up and take you back to your resort if they catch you--it happened to DH a few years back.

I'd call a cab and spend the $6 in cab fare including tip.

It's a fairly good walk from All-Star Movies, but there are certainly sidewalks along the way to Blizzard Beach. If I recall correctly, these sidewalks actually run all the way from Movies to Coronado Springs, meaning it is theoritically possible to walk between these resorts, if a bit lengthy.

Personally, I get way too much walking on theme park days, but if you want to walk to Blizzard Beach, you certainly can.

I cannot imagine it taking more than 10 minutes to get from All-Star resorts to BB. It will take you far longer than that to walk it. It's not a particularly attractive part of the Disney property, goes along busy roads and seems dangerous to me.

The walk to Blizzard Beach from All Star resorts would be about 20 minutes. It passes a McDonalds and there is sidewalk all the way, extending to just across the street from Coronado Springs.

Yep this is one walk that is walkable and allowable by Disney. Often see joggers along this pathway.

But anyway yes you could do the walk and there are wide walkways from All Stars to Blizzard Beach (and beyond) with a well marked pedestrian crossway right outside of All Stars by McDonald's.

I personally would not walk, there is no way that it would be a 40 minute bus trip. Even if you had to wait 15 minutes for a bus, you should be at Blizzard Beach in about 5 minutes. If memory serves me correctly, the bus that goes to the AK during the day also goes to BB, and BB was the first stop after the resort.
