All Star Movies- Shower curtains???

Hello all. This is my first time to post on here so, if this has been answered somewhere else I apologize.

Hopefully I am misunderstanding. .. I have read in another post that ASMo doesn't have shower curtains!! Some people are even bringing their own

Can someone explain this to me. I would go back to the post I found, but of course when I need it, I can't get back to it.

Do they only have bath tubs with no shower? Or is that "other" poster just mistaken?

We are planning on staying there for our trip in Aug, but may rethink it if they don't have showers.

From what I understand (and I may be wrong), the All Star Movies has showers only, no bathtubs and the showers have glass (frosted glass) doors. I think that is the way I remember it. I could not imagen bringing your shower curtian to a Disney resort.

I've only stayed at AS Sports and Music (2x) in the past, but they've had shower curtains.

I'd really be surprised if there weren't shower curtains at Movies.

ETA: Now I see that some AS rooms have stand-alone showers. Wow, the things you learn from these boards...

I was looking at the pictures on Deb Wills site and the shower does have a shower curtain. I can not imagine that someone would have to bring their own shower curtain.

I believe that the stand alone showers are the roll in showers in some of the handicapped rooms

I think only handi-accessible rooms have shower-only bathrooms. All other rooms should have normal tub/shower combo.

I could be wrong but the reason people bring shower curtains with them, to all the values, is to put up their own privacy curtain. The moderates now have a curtain, between the vanity/bathroom area and the sleeping area that you can pull shut to give those dressing a bit more privacy.
So....some guests, at the values, bring some of those 3M stick up hooks and hang a shower curtain from wall to wall. I have used a narrow tension rod with a fabric shower curtain with tab top on it. It worked like a charm.
All the resorts have shower curtains if there is a bath tub!

We stayed in a handicapped accessible room at ASMusic, I think, and there was a shower curtain in that bathroom. Of course, that was 2001, so a lot could have changed since then.

Also before I left I read of these boards that the all stars now have soap dispensers instead of mickey soap and that information was wrong for the room at AS Movies that we stayed at. Take anything you read hear with a grain of salt. Remember what may be true for one person may not be true for another and things change quickly especially at Disney. Have a fun trip

You could be wrong, but you are not!

All the shower-tub combos and roll-in showers have curtains. The mods have a privacy curtain and this is just a field expedient way of making one in a value. But DW and I don't really need one. We use the space we save on not packing a curtain and rod to bring out coffee maker

Actually the reverse is true.When I first stayed at All-Star Sports in 2003 there was indeed a shampoo/soap dispenser on the wall in the bathtub/shower.It was hideous-I hate those things.When the other value resort,Pop Century was opened in late 2003,it did not have the dispensers and eventually they were taken out of all three All-Star Resorts-I am sure,in part,because of Guest complaints. They made you feel like you were staying at a YMCA instead of a Disney resort.

Welcome! I leave for WDW Saturday for my eighth stay at All-Star Sports and I can assure you that the All-Star Resort(Sports,Music,Movies) has shower curtains!Now if they would just put televisions in the rooms!(just kidding )There is also an iron and ironing board,a SMALL hair dryer mounted on the wall,a small in-wall safe,a clock radio,and small sizes of soap and shampoo.When I was there in August it was still the Mickey Mouse soap and shampoo,but I understand they are changing to a new supplier resort-wide,so I am not sure what is being used now. If you have any other questions I will try to answer them.I am not an All-Star Resort expert,but after eight trips there am fairly familiar with a lot of the Resort.

We just returned from ASMo and there are shower curtains in the bathroom. It is a standard tub/shower set up with a shower curtain.

A previous poster was right when they mentioned some people bring their own to set up between the vanity and sleeping area. The moderates have these and the values don't. It would give some extra privacy for getting ready.

Also there are individual soaps and shampoos and not the wall dispensers. The products are NOT H2O like at the deluxes (don't know what the moderates have).

We stayed at All Star Movies last December and they had a shower with curtain as well as a bathtub. I would post a photo but the only photo I have is on a scrapbook page.

Thank you, thank you, thank you ALL for your replies!!! I was just astonished to think that someone was bringing their own curtain!!!
They must have meant for the privacy curtain!

This will be our first time at an AS. Are the shampoo and soap, just like at regular hotels?? Shampoo/Conditioner combo and a soap bar??
