I will be staying at the All Star Movies for the first time in December? I have requested the Toy Story section. There will be seven of us (two rooms). I would like them next to each other if possible. I am also hoping to be fairly close to the food court and the bus stop.

I know it is too early to make the request now, but I am just thinking ahead (I guess you could say obsessing!) with my planning.

My question is, what section/floor/rooms should I request?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

My experience is to decide what is most important to you and only ask for that.

If you ask for the toy story room and to be close to the food court/busses, they may give you adjoining rooms in another wing because they are closer to the food court, or put you into outside TS rooms, because thats all they have together.....

I suspect that Toy Story is their most requested wing, so if that's where you want to be I'd only ask for that. We stayed about as far as you can get in the TS wing, from the food court and it was not far at all. So if I were you I wouldnt worry about asking for the proximity part, unless thats more important to you than the TS building.

We stayed at ASMo in May. I was worried about being close to the food court and busses, but I never made a request.. as it happened, we got a room in the Woody building (I was so happy to be in Toy Story). I don't have the room #, but we were in the half of the building that was closer to the food court. It was a short walk to the main building (and pretty, I hadn't realized how well the grounds were landscaped at the All Stars). I think the whole Toy Story section is close, and still set back from the pool enough to be fairly quiet.

We're going back in January, and I'll be requesting the same building... hopefully I'll be lucky again!

We were on the 3rd floor of the 'Woody' bldg #9 facing a small parking area. It was very quiet. The Toy Story bldgs are right next to the food court and bus transportation so I think if you ask for connecting rooms in either of these bldgs you will be happy!
Enjoy!

DISCLAIMER: I really don't know the answer so I'm just making it up as I go along. :wave2:

I'm going next week and my theory is that the CMs at the front desk know the resort's layout better than you or I could ever hope to. My suggestion to you is to simply tell them what you wrote here, what's most important and what's not so important to you and your group. I'd be surprised if any CM there who's been on the job more than a week or two would not know exactly what rooms you want by how you describe your needs and preferences. It should be easy to let them help you. :sunny:

We stayed at ASMo in Nov 2000. The whole resort is a lot of fun, and so clean! We requested 101 Dalmations b/c my son loved the movie. Turns out, it was toward the back, overlooking the parking lot. The walk was minimal, and we didn't care to be right in the middle of things. But I have to admit that when you are tired, it is nice to walk right into your room. But another plus staying in this section was that we were able to get in the room before 9am in the morning.

I was at ASMovies the end of Sept. I had requested Toy Story (2 connecting rooms), but they had nothing available when we arrived. We had our choice of Love Bug or Mighty Ducks. We took the Ducks, mainly because it was right by the Duck Pond pool. The walk to the food court wasn't bad either.

The kids loved the pool and the giant duck hockey masks. We never even made it up to the main pool to swim. Just stayed at the pond.
