All Star Movies or Grosvenor Resort?

We have the 1st two days of our trip to find a hotel for and the 2nd two nights of our trip will be spent at Grand Floridian. (GF was booked the 18 and 19 that we wanted). So I'm trying to decide what would be better to do between these two hotels. They are about the same in price, but Grosvenor would be a tower room and could include nightly fireworks view, but then again I would have EE with All Stars and the convenience of having items shipped back to room, plus when transferring over to GF it might be easier if staying with a true WDW hotel already. I'm not sure what to do, any suggestions? Anyone stay at both and suggest one over the other?

If you don't have a car, I would definatly suggest the All Stars. Disney will transfer your bags from there, but not from the Grovesnor.

That said, I've heard hte Grovesnor is a very nice resort. My choice would have to be, though, the All Stars.

I haven't stayed at either, but my close friend has stayed at both--Grosvenor for a conference and AS for family vacations. She would pick All Stars hands down.

Definitley All Stars! A co-worker of mine stayed at one of the Downtown Disney hotels last Christmas and the transportation only ran every 1 1/2 hours. They ended up driving to all of the theme parks. The bus service at AStars is super!

My choice would be Grosvenor. The rooms are much bigger with more amenities. But, we always rent a car, so transportation wasn't an issue. I also liked being directly across the street from DD. It's just a stroll over to Ghiradelli's for ice cream after a day in the parks.
