We will staying at ASMo in July. I was wondering if they are as cool (as in cold )as the other resorts we have stayed in. Are they clean? We have 2 16yo, a 12yo, and a 5yo. Is there enough room? We will only be there for sleeping, showering, breakfast in room (which we bring), and maybe ocassional afternoon nap for 5yo while the others stay at the parks. We have been guaranteed connecting rooms in a non smoking wing. Any reply would be great. Thanks.

As long as your boys don't mind sharing a double bed, then you should be fine. The All Stars are a great choice, if you plan on spending most all your time in the parks!

Momof2sons,
Greetings from another momof2sons. Mine are 16 and 13. We are going to be at the ASMO in April. We also were at the ASMU last spring break for the first time.
The rooms are small but for us they work out fine because we are really only in the rooms from about 11:00 p.m. until breakfast time.
The rooms are 2 double beds so if the kids don't like to share a bed that could be a problem. Mine will not share a bed so one usually winds up making a pad on the floor or for this year we bot a fold up camping cot at SAM's Wholesale for $25 that we are bringing and they will take turns sleeping on that or sleeping with the dear mom. I am guessing the 2 16 year olds will get the connecting room and their own beds and then it is not a problem for you.
We just can not justify the cost of staying at a moderate or deluxe when we think about the amount of time we spend in the room/at the resort. We use that money to eat at the sit-down restaraunts, playing mini golf, renting water mice, souveniers, etc.
The rooms were clean and comforable. The air conditioning is easily adjusted. I am easily cold and do not recall getting cold in the room.
Have a great trip! :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy:

It seems like you would be driving. Just know that the parking lots are huge and your spot may not be very close to your rooms. You could end up with quite a hike, but as long as the older kids can "hold their own" you should be okay. The rooms are a little on the small side, but you are getting 2 so it should be ample, at least you will have 2 bathrooms which is GREAT!!
If you have a stroller...make sure you bring it to your room with you...it can be a hike from the bus to your room.
Every time we have stayed there, our rooms have be immaculate!! Housekeeping seems to be as good there as anywhere else in the World.
Have a great time!!:D :D

We have stayed at many of the on-sites resorts - the Caribbean being our favorite - the last two times we have stayed at All Star Music. The first time staying there we had two rooms - this was for 5 adults - 2 five year olds & a 6 month old. Needless to say we had "lots" of stuff including suitcase & strollers - we had a port-a-crib set up for the 6 month old. We never felt cramped & the rooms were always clean. The food court has a good variety of food - your boys will it!! The bus service was very good - we didn't have a car so we had to depend on WDW transportation.
We will be staying at All Star Movies in November - for the price - you can't go wrong!! Have a 'fun' vacation!!!

Thanks to all the good info. My second thoughts at staying in a value resort are disapating. We in the past have stayed at POr and YC also rented a pool home when My DSister came along with here crew.

If you are used to staying in a resort like the YC, then you may be a little disappointed in the AS. If you are looking to save money on room rate, and just have a place to sleep then AS is the way to go. I have stayed there with just my 2 kids, no DH, but just for a night or 2. It does get tiring walking through the parking lots and looking for elevators after the 2nd day.

I know we are giving up a lot of room. But my 2 oldest wanted an extra day at the parks and is willing to give up the space. We got an extra day + saved $500. Thanks again Luvinit
