All Star Movies credit card hold amount?

Hi, how much is hold from my credit card at the All Star Movies? ( for incidental charges, etc)
Also, can I link another card to my magic band to pay at the parks?

I believe the initial hold is $100, then it depends how much you charge but expect it to be increments of $100 (essentially always a $100 buffer). You can pay it off nightly with gift cards or cash, and then the holds don't get to be as high. You get to set-up the credit card to use for the MB charging, so yes it can be different from what was used to pay for the room.

You must set-up a debit or credit card in order to use the MB for charging. However, you can stop by the front desk and pay in cash or gift cards before the accumulated charges hit the card.

Not directly your ability to charge to your MB is tied to your resort folio account. What you can do is have multiple Credit / Debit cards setup at the Front Desk to tie a specific Credit / Debit card to each MB holder on the resort reservation.

Note: not all Front Desk CMs always get it correct so you will want to check after 1 or 2 purchases to make sure MB charges are going to the correct Credit / Debit card.

If you don't want to worry about the various $100 holds you could also use Mobile Order whenever possible to charge directly to your Credit / Debit card for the exact amount of your purchases or use your Credit / Debit for payments in the Parks.

Special Note: Since the $100 holds don't match directly to purchases during your stay your may accumulate quite a few $100 holds.

As @lanejudy pointed out above you can use cash or Gift cards to pay down your hotel folio balance at any time during you resort stay but the $100 holds may take multiple days to clear base on your individual banking institution.
