all star movies, can i request a section?? and are they done refurbished??

would love the dalmation or toy story section this time, 2006 we had the mighty ducks section... can we request a section? or is that what preferred room is? will they put my request down in reservation? and are they refurbishing all the rooms? are they complete? im arriving 8/10

It shows some sections have been added to the preferred room category.

You can request a section within your booking category. It will be noted on your reservation. Requests are just that, requests; depending on the time you arrive, they may be very busy. Since you are arriving the second week in August, they will be very, very busy. The schools in the northeast goes back to school around the 23rd of August and the two weeks before tend to be very crowded.

I don't see anything about a refurbishment, so I cannot comment on that.

Refurb wad completed in November. The rooms look great. Dalmations and toy story are both preferred areas. You may request these sections if you pay extra for the preferred room.

That is correct; you can still request one section, but it must be in your booking category.

I had requested a room in the lovebug section. When we checked in our room wasn't ready and it was in the mighty ducks section. The front desk clerk offered to look for an available room and I had mentioned that we'd like Love Bug if possible and she got us a room there.

The new computer system they installed about 1-1/2 years ago, gives the Front Desk CM's much more flexibility in looking for available rooms or rooms about to be released from Mousekeeping.

So that is why that CM was able to look right at the computer and see what was ready in inventory or what was going to be available later in the day.

I always check in the Saturday after Thanksgiving, don't do online check-in, book what category I want to stay in and then when I check-in, reiterate to the CM that I don't mind waiting for my room.
