Hey everyone,

DD16 and I are going to WDW in March for a cheerleading competition. I'm really going to try to make this trip all about eating healthy. I just took a look at the menu at the All Star Cafe and it doesn't look bad at all.

Anyone have any pictures of the food, reviews, etc.?

Thanks in advance.

We've only been there once for registration at last years marathon and I honestly don't remember anything about it. Sorry

I'm not sure how healthy the food was, but it tasted good enough! We ate the burgers and from the Italian side. The muffins (especially crumb cake) were really yummy! So was the mini cheesecake with choco swirl. Sorry no pics.

I can't help, but I'd love to hear your report when you get back!

Lunch just after we checked-in. Double bacon cheese burgers for adults...one with fries and one with pasta salad. The kids shared an adult order of chicken and fries.

Was this at the All Star Sports - or the Wide World of Sports?

The one I'm hoping to get info on is the one that is over at the Sports Complex where the Milk House is - not the resort.

Those hamburgers look so so so good right now, lol!

I've eaten there a bunch of times during cheerleading competitions! The food is pretty good. It's pretty much burgers and such, but I'm pretty sure I've had a salad there at least once. It's nice during the competition because they have screens and TVs on which they show the teams that are currently competing and the scores, so you can keep up with things! (I can't remember if they only did that during Worlds or not, but I think it was at UCA Nationals, too.)

That is good to know - we are going to AmeriCheer. Last year our girls qualified for UCA, but we went to South Carolina instead. They had a few sandwiches that looked very healthy. The Salmon sandwich sounds great, and they even had 3 sides to choose from. All the breads were whole grain even the hamburgers. I'm sure the girls will be excited about that :lmao:

I thought that place was closed for good.

Maybe it is open during special events only??

I'll be there this weekend (1/17-19) for the 3v3 soccer tournament so I can certainly let you know when I return on 1/23/09. I would imagine the food is good, and I'm sure there are some healthy options because really if you're there for athletic competitions, they can't expect those involved to eat junk food in between games. The smoothies sounded great and relatively healthy.

Have fun.

I think I read that it was changed from a site down restaurant to a fast food spot.

Thank you so much - I was so shocked at how good and healthy the food sounded (except the hamburger - but at least it was on whole wheat -lol). I also thought the smoothies sounded good. I was glad to see there were good options. When I read on the AmeriCheer website that you can eat here - I thought......yuck, unhealthy fast food. It really sounds good.

Oh - And I'll make sure I take tons of pictures while I'm there too to pay it forward :)

Any more updates? The menu I've seen is old from 2007!

We went there last trip (under some duress) with another couple, who in their defense weren't aware it was no longer a full service TS restaurant. It has selections of soup, sandwich and salads. You place your order at a counter and then someone brings you the food when it's ready. It was perfectly ordinary in every respect. I suppose if you are in the area and are hungry it would do--but certainly not worth any special effort to eat there.
