I haven't seen many comments about the quality of dining experiences at the food courts in the All-Stars and POP.

Is the food good? Bad? Worse than park restaurants? Better? About the same?

Is it more convenient? Cheaper?

When is it better to eat at the food courts? When is it better to eat at the parks? (For instance, if we're taking an afternoon break after lunch, are we better off eating in the park, or back at our resort?)

Any feedback is appreciated.

We were at All Star Music back in October and we were pleasantly surprised.

For crowds. I wouldn't be the best judge, we went during off season and always at off times. The one and only time we at at their tables (rather then taking it back to our room) We were practically the only people in there.

Food was fairly good, and no more expensive then a counter service in the parks. (menus are prices are on Deb's site)

We often grabbed food there for our afternoon breaks. Usually somewhere in the 1-4pm area, and for the most part it was quick, except on saturday.

The food court @ POP is great...lots of variety and priced very similar to any counter-service locations in the parks. However, if you hit it at the wrong times, the lines can be horrible. Try to avoid the early morning rush before the parks open and the standard mealtimes for lunch or dinner. Also, it's amazing what a difference 15-20 minutes can make. If you find the crowds to be unbearable, just grab a cup of coffee, soda, etc. (refillable mugs are a "blessing" here as the beverage stations are outside the cash register area)and sit at a table outside and relax for a few minutes until the lines are more manageable.

We think the food court at Pop is more open and doen't seem as crowded. All stars seem to be cramped for space at times and we are always bumping into people. We think the food quality is about the same for both of them and don't mind eating at either of them if we are there.

We stayed at AS Mo in June and we thought the food court was excellent! There is lots of variety for Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I know we got tired of burgers and fries at the CS restaurants at the parks, so we ate late lunches/early dinners at the food court when going back to hotel for breaks. The food prices are not bad either. We were not on the dining plan. There was one night when I decided to have the CM make a made to order pasta dish with shrimp and broccoli and it was DELICIOUS!!! I would strongly suggest the food courts!!!

We have eatten at ASmo and POR foodcourts and thought the prices the same as CS in the parks sometimes even more reasonable. The food is normally good. I can honestly say I havent had any food out of the foodcourts I didnt enjoy. Normally my family only eats breakfast at the food courts but occasionally we have gotten snacks or a dinner there and were always happy with our selections..

I can speak about the POP food court. We ended up eating lots of meals there. We often grabbed breakfast at Pop before heading out to the parks. If we came back for an afternoon break, we often grabbed our lunch/snack at Pop at that time. I thought the food was pretty good. The burgers at Pop were the "same" as at the parks...but no topping bar there like at Pecos Bills, etc. The chicken strips were the same too. They had stir fry, flat bread sandwiches (very tasty!), soup, salad, etc. Look at allearsnet.com for the menus and pricing. We never ate "dinner" at Pop but I saw lots of people with the pasta meals for dinner and they were very generously sized.

If you are on the DDP, cost isn't really a factor for CS dining, but it seemed that the prices at Pop were actually a little higher than at the parks (maybe it was mostly due to us getting a bottled beverage rather than a fountain beverage like at the parks) There's a nice selection of snacks at Pop too. Reasonably priced, IMO, even without the DDP because lots were priced by the manufacturer (chips, doritos, donuts, etc).

Hope this helps

the world premiere food court at asmovies is actually pretty good, we love the philly cheese steak sandwich. its convinient & affordable while your staying there for breakfast or a midnight snack.

We stayed at the ASMu and POP and had breakfast only at the food courts. It was very good, bacon and sausage, scrambled eggs, potatoes and a biscuit and a fruit bowl from the self serve station. Also a fantastic cinn bun from the self serve station, it was nice and soft and the icing was still gooey! I have never tried lunch or dinner there because we were in the parks.

Stayed at POP in March and used the food court quite a bit. They had an excellent selection and the food was, surprisingly, good. We were lucky and could usually hit the food court at "off" times, but even at it's worst it wasn't that bad. You just have to stay in a magical frame of mind at times ;) The refillable mugs were very useful and timesavers for us. Seating was never a problem when we ate there, but we took our food back to the room several times. Overall, we had a good experience and would recommend it. We just loved everything about POP!! Very Disney pixiedust:
