All Rooms Booked Between Thanksgiving and Christmas?

We are thinking about taking a trip sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas (not when schools are out) and the Disney website is showing almost no availability. One room for around $600 a night shows up every so often but otherwise nothing, nada, zip. I have done chat online twice. One CM showed tons of open rooms and another got nothing available. I would think it is a website issue but we have been trying for 2 weeks now.

Anyone else running into this issue? Are there events I am not aware of that have the resorts at capacity? I know I can call to book but I love to play around and see all our options before booking. Any insight is greatly appreciated!

I have been getting this off and on for a couple of weeks. I just looked this evening and got a few - I think you have to watch which radio button the program is trying to use. Dec 15-Dec 22nd just popped up several room options for the holiday room promotion. Moderates to Deluxe (several options in each category = example out building theme park view Grand Floridan; Coronado and Carribean, etc). how many people and for which week are you mainly looking?

I'm having the same issue. I heard elsewhere that there's a problem at Disney with some reservations being double-booked so it results in little/no availability. Heard they're working on it but no estimate on when it'll be resolved. It really looks like a big problem. I've never seen availability this poor.

Free dining, Pop Warner, a time of year growing in popularity, website issues... they probably all have a role. How long a trip? That impacts things as well.

It's frustrating, I know.

What worked for me was getting smaller reservations that spanned the entire time that we are going to be there - mid December till early January. I have three reservations that cover the entire trip. When I feel like dealing with phone people, I will call and try to combine them. If not, we will be swimming in Magicbands. And I will have to threaten the front desk with some sort of bodily harm to make certain that we don't have to change rooms.

I was just trying to find a 3 night stay over a weekend in November and there's almost nothing there. It really is bad... It just doesn't make sense to be virtually full a couple of months out. At least I haven't seen it this way before, personally.

We have a split stay for Nov 26 - Dec , Pop Century then POR. We chose this time instead of Oct as we thought it would be less crowded. We did this time in 2012 ( a long time ago, I know ) and we had very short waits. Barely used a FP. Now I am getting worried about crowds! We even had a tough time finding a room at the end of April.

I hope everyone can find a room. pixiedust:

Glad to hear it's not just us! Felt like I was going crazy. We'll just keep an eye on it and keep trying. We can basically go any week so I have been searching all of them. Seemed so weird to not be getting anything.

Lots of people cancel before their final payment is due. Keep checking.

Try clicking on the resort you want and then change from the "Holiday" offer to room only. I get tons of results when I do that.

I booked for these dates in February. Wasn't a lot of availability even then. Couldn't get a mod.
