all rental cars sold out at BWI???

seriously? DH is going to Baltimore for work tomorrow and I am trying to find a rental car for him. All the rental agencies I have tried all say "no cars available" What's going on in Baltimore this week? Is there some logical reason that there are no cars to rent at all???

I can't believe I can't find one car of any kind for him to rent. Not good

Could he take a cab to an offsite location or just take a cab to his destination instead?

He needs a car to get to and from the job site he's working at so I'm checking offsite locations now. Hopefully we'll find something.I've never seen this before

Have you tried Hotwire? I've had good luck with them in the past.

What time does he want to pick-up and when does he want to drop the car off? I just tried National and am getting cars there but that's with a pick-up tomorrow at 12noon and either a drop-off Friday at noon or Sunday at noon. I didn't put in any codes and the total price is $428 for Wednesday/Sunday.

Maybe it's this nasty ice-storm that's hitting Western Maryland and north of DC, people are renting cars rather than flying? I dunno...

Nothing I know of is going on this week.

If he has to go into the city, he can catch the light rail right into downtown Baltimore.

agnes...I tried National but no luck he needs to pick up around 10:00 am and return Thursday around 3:00 pm.

Anyway ~ I found one! At an off airport site about a 20 min drive from BWI. I wonder what the deal is?? Thanks for the help!

Is it because of the snowstorm that's coming? Maybe people figure their flights will be cancelled & don't want to be stuck there, so they rented cars just incase?
