Are all the OVIR at Vero Beach the same? Do they all have a nice ocean view? Or do we need to request something special...if so, what.

We will be arriving late and I want to make sure we actually have an ocean view!

Technically DVC calls them IROVs but according to Rob, who is one of our resident VB experts, apparently some of them are on the side overlooking the pool (and ocean, although indirectly). Just to be safe I'd ask for a full frontal ocean view if that's what you want.

We booked two ocean view rooms a couple years back when we visited only to find that they were on the north side of the building and you had to go out to your balcony to actually see the ocean.

I discovered the difference (at that time) between the terms "ocean front" and "ocean view." They were nice and I was glad to be there, but took family with and kept telling them we'd have rooms overlooking the ocean, so I was a little disapointed. However the rooms and the resort was beautiful and we had a great time.

The other point to consider is which floor. Here is my opinion. The second floor is nice as you are on the same level as the Green Cabin Room. Also there is a staircase that leads from the lobby to the second floor so you don't have to use the elevator. When the resort is full the elevators can be jammed. We only stayed in the Inn once, and it was on the second floor and I really liked it. We were in a Garden view room so I don't have first hand experience on what the ocean view is like from the second floor.

On the higher floors your view is most certainly going to be better, but you will wait for that elevator.

One more quick comment. I'd take a Inn room over a studio any day of the week.
