What will the not-so-good folks of Pine Valley do when they get into legal trouble without Livia there to clean up their messes? :sad2:

I had to do a google search to find out more about Robin McCall, the character which Hunter Tylo played on AMC from 1985-87. I remember Robin and Tad being a couple back then. Many of us remember that Hunter met Michael Tylo on AMC and they were married in real life. I knew that, but what I didn't know (or forgot I knew...lol) was what Hunter said in her autobiography: "She insisted that her husband leave his storyline on All My Children, lest she divorce him, as she perceived that series co-star Taylor Miller (Nina Cortlandt), who played Tylo's love interest at the time, to be coming on to him in real life; she makes the accusation in her autobiography Making a Miracle."

I think the plastic surgeon who blew up Hunter's lips, should have his/her license taken away. She looks like a freak show now. Very sad since she was so pretty and already had full lips. Lots of fans are also complaining about her other surgery (which she also didn't need).

How about some fun. Who remembers the first time they watched AMC? What was going on in that episode or during the first time you started watching?

TT
mY first time watching AMC, my DD was about 6 months old (she is 24 now) and if I remember correctly, Myrtle was having an "affair" with Langley who was married to Phobe at the time, and something about them "being in a Circus" together.? :confused3 Also, Adam had just came to town, and was hiding his twin brother Stuart in the attic and Erica ran across him, thinking he was Adam. ;)

Yup, me too. My DS was 24 in June and I started watching then as well!!! Anyway, remember KITTY. She was dating I think someone named Lincoln. I think she left acting and was writing for AMC. How about the whole Jesse and Angie storyline. Greg and Jennie as well!!! That is exactly when I started watching.

I started watching in 1975 when I was in HS. I was taking chemistry in summer school and this was when AMC went from 30 minutes to an hour. We convinced our teacher to give us an hour break so we could watch AMC and he let us :)

I can't remember exactly what was going on but I think Brooke had just come to town and I remember Lincoln had a wife that was in the hospital. I think her name was Anne. I also remember Nick was close to Erica, I think.

It seems to me that the first time I watched it a little was when Linc was trying to get Phoebe to accept Kelly-this was back 30 years ago, so I'm not sure of the names. But I didn't start watching it regularly until around 1980, I think it was shortly before Palmer and Nina came to town with the maid, Myra. And I remember the whole Cliff and Nina storyline. Boy, that's really going back!

I love reminising about the old AMC shows. I wish they would show them on the Soap Network, I would tune in.

O/T: Becca wasn't Brooke's daughter, the only daughter/s she has had were both named Laura. The first one was when she was married to Tom Cudahy. Then Tom married some other girl (who then went on to marry Jack's brother / Bianca's father, and I can't remember her name). Anyway she wasn't paying attention one day, while Laura was visiting her and Tom. Laura was only a toddler and she got out of the house and was hit and killed by a drunk driver. The second Laura, was a homeless girl that Brooke adopted. She married Leo and eventually became psychotic and left town to get away from all the evils of Pine Valley. Hope that helps.

Gosh I miss the old stuff. The new stuff pales in comparison.

Wasn't Anne Phoebe's daughter and Linc's sister? She was married to the lawyer (can't remember his name now). I remember Erica being married to Jeff, getting divorced from Jeff and marrying Phoebe's nephew, Chuck, who was also Jeff's friend. Then Donna came along and wound up marrying Chuck.

I think the first show I ever saw was when Tara and Phil married themselves before Phil went off to Vietnam.

Tom's wife was Barbara (Susan Pratt, I think). I really liked her. Then Barbara married Travis, which is what she always wanted anyway. I will never forgive AMC for killing little Laura right before Christmas. It was so depressing! Remember that?

mom2, I would LOVE to watch the oldies. I don't care how corny they would seem now, it would be such a great trip down memory lane.
My sister had actually watched the very first episode of AMC. She is the one that got me hooked. Now, I'm still addicted and she hasn't watched it in years. She's seems baffled that I am still watching it! It's her fault!!! lol

I was a very very very young teen when I first tuned in....lol. I was probably not supposed to be watching this show, but mom was at work and didn't have a clue. There are two distinct very early episodes I recall. It could have been summer 1970, but not sure. I remember wandering into the living room where my sister was glued to the tube. I saw a group of young people (Erica, Tara, Chuck) in a school cafeteria or student center. My sister told me that Erica had told Phillip that Nick was his father. The other episode was quite shocking...lol. This was Erica and Jeff... before they were married. They were sitting on the couch in Erica and Mona's house talking. Erica was trying to smooth her hair. Jeff was concerned as Mona would be coming home from work soon. Erica glances over to the bedroom and says, "Don't worry, I cleaned up." Needless to say, this was pretty daring stuff in 1970 or at least to me at the time. I've always been a little envious that my sister saw the first episode of AMC, yet she could care less. Over the years I have had to tune out now and then sometimes years at a time due to working and/or kids and the fact that VCRs hadn't been invented yet. ;)

Yes, Anne was Phoebe's daughter and Linc's sister. She was married to Paul Martin (one of my all time fave guys on the show). For the life of me, I don't remember Erica married to Chuck. That must have been a time when I wasn't watching. I remember the little ceremony with Phil and Tara. I remember being very worried that it wasn't legal! :happytv:

You all are absolutely right about Anne being Chuck's sister. Anne was married to Paul, right? I've got all my characters mixed up. Way too many to keep track of.

I, too, would love to see the old episodes. What we considered pushing the envolope then would be every day activities now.

Was Devon the drunk driver that hit and killed Laura? I remember the scenes, but I'm not sure anymore.

If I recall, it was Barbara who hit Laura, wasn't it?

SUMMER PREVIEW

Jesse McCartney (ex-JR) sings at Colby's sweet sixteen party

It was a very minor male character that hit little Laura. There was some kind of a mix-up about who was watching Laura. Barbara was in charge, but thought Laura was OK crossing the street. At first, Brooke blamed Barbara.

I caught a glimse of the new show on Lifetime called "Angela's Eyes". The lead's real name is
Abigail Spencer. I am CERTAIN that this woman played on AMC as "Becca Tyree" who was involved with Scott Chandler, I believe.

The spoilers don't hold out much hope for an improvement in storyline. I'm so hoping that there is some resolution in the stories. Not happy with any of my soaps this summer.
