Due to an undisclosed illness, actress Leven Rambin (Lily Montgomery) has been temporarily sidelined. During her recuperation period, All My Children was forced to temporarily recast the role of Lily. Portia Reiners will appear as Lily from February 10th to February 17th. Rambin returns to the screen on March 1st.

I wonder if that has anything to do with the way she sounded the other day. Sounded terribly hoarse.

Ethan and Simone are the most incredible untapped talent AMC has. Both are fabulous actors and their characters have so many potential storylines. I figured with his limited airtime and then suddenly he proposes to Simone that he was outta there. Poor Simone can't have a real relationship you know. I hope that doesn't mean that she's leaving too. I don't understand why they keep dumping the great characters/actors and leave the annoying ones that are all tapped out for storylines. What are these people thinking???

Did you guys hear about the accident on the set when filming the mardi gras ball? One of the explosions blew out of control and started a fire, stunt men got hurt but no AMC regulars. They showed it on the news, i saw jamie and amanda ducking and they looked genuinely scared. You could tell it wasn't meant to happen like that. Just glad it didn't turn out any worse.

I saw it on my news station. What drama. I hope the stunt guys are ok. I saw Jamie & Amanda ducking. The were close to the cameras. I also could've swore I saw someone who looked like Jake Martin walking down the stairs before the explosion ?

Forgot to mention, I'm disappointed Ethan is leaving. I was hoping Simone was finally going to have a steady role and find love! I wonder why he was let go!

SPOILERS FOR THE WEEK OF JANUARY 30TH


Kendall watches in horror as Erica stabs Zach violently in her deranged state of mind.

Josh and Tad manage to stop Erica from continuing her vicious attack on Zach.

Tad takes advantage of the opportunity to sneak a sample of Josh's blood.

Josh prepares to give the tabloids an exclusive on the incident involving Erica.

Zach's attempts to protect Erica fall on deaf ears and she is promptly arrested.

Erica finds herself in a jail cell next to Jonathan's.

Erica tells a stunned Jack that she thought she was stabbing Michael Cambias.

Zach defends Erica to the DA at her arraignment.

Jack and Erica find proof that Erica was drugged when she attacked Zach.

Josh accuses Amanda of drugging Erica, which leads Erica to question Amanda as Janet looks on.

Jonathan and Lily make plans to attend the ball together.

Tad has shocking news for Joe.

Zach begins hemorrhaging at the hospital, which leads him to dark visions of being in hell with his father and brother after he loses consciousness.

Kendall prays for Zach to recover and come back to her as she sits diligently by his bedside.

Simone slips and tells Kendall that Zach caused the blackout.

Kendall is distant with Zach as she attempts to digest what Simone has told her.

Kendall lashes out at Ryan for his accusations against Zach.

Di comes across someone from her past now working for Zach.

Marty offers Di a job at the casino but not before revealing his computer hacking skills.

Di tells Ryan that her old friend Marty could have easily hacked into the Pine Valley power grid.

Di and Ryan manage to trap Marty into admitting what Ryan already suspected about Zach.

Ryan decides to keep quiet for now, planning to expose Zach at the Mardi Gras ball instead.

Janet tells Amanda that Jamie is not to be trusted.

Erin is touched by Lily's faith in Jonathan.

Aidan finds clues in Janet's former hideout.

Janet listens in as Jamie tells Amanda that he was conning her the whole time.

Jamie is knocked out by, Janet.

Aidan believes that Jonathan is being framed.

Babe is furious when she sees the wording in the prenuptial agreement, giving full custody to JR should they divorce.

JR tells Babe he loves her, but Babe hands him back his necklace and storms off.

Me too! One thing that you have to say for the writers - they have done a good job, making us feel empathy toward previously "despicable" characters, like Amanda, Jonathan (who is just adorable, now!), and Di! Next thing you know, they will have us feeling sorry for Michael Cambias............well..........maybe not! No, the next one they will have to redeem (assuming they want to) is Josh - he is just so cocky and evil! But - if it turns out that he is Erica's son - which I'm sure it will - many months down the road, they will have to redeem him, somehow, so that they can have some sort of heartwarming family reunion, maybe in time for the holidays? (Then again, it took Kendall and Erica years to warm up to one another, so maybe not!)

In the mean time, where the heck has Jackson been?!! He needs to be there for Erica, now - hopefully he will be on today's episode! Of course the whole thing with Erica stabbing Zach, envisioning him as Michael, is totally ridiculous. I'm waiting for another character to bring up her stabbing of Dimitri, years ago...........

I love Lily! I hope that she is feeling better, too! It will be strange seeing another actress play that role - even temporarily - Leven does such a beautiful job!

And I also hope that the stunt people involved in the filming accident were all right! It looked very scary. I'm sure that it was very frightening for all of the crew people and actors, who were so close to the explosion, as well.

It is interesting to see what one of those special effects "really" looks like, when it's filmed, though, since when we see the finished product, it's usually shown in slow motion, set to music, etc.

I forgot to mention, last week - at least they FINALLY had a "reunion / break-up" scene with Anita and Aidan. It just seemed strange that she had been back in town for so long, working at the hospital, presumably living at Wildwind, and Aidan not only hadn't gotten in touch with her, but actually started a relationship with someone else, in the mean time! At least they brought that to closure and explained that Aidan had been trying to get in touch with her. But I wonder what they are going to do with Anita's character, now? I wonder if they will involve her in a storyline, or just let her fade away, to that great, big medical convention, out there..........

I agree with what you were all saying about Simone - and Ethan, too. I will miss Ethan, and think that they are losing a great potential talent, in him - but it would be a real shame if they let Simone go, and kept other more "bland" characters around. They really need to utilize her character more - she really brings a lot to the show! In addition to her great humor and delivery of those one-liners, she has done some good dramatic stuff, too - I remember how heartbreaking it was when she was basically begging Carlos to go out with her and when she finally became resigned to the fact that he wanted Greenlee and not her. I distinctly remember a scene in the Fusion office where she was saying (to Carlos) something like "why doesn't anyone ever want me? Everyone always wants someone else - there is always someone prettier or smarter or better than me......." or something like that, and he reassured her that she is wonderful, and it was very touching!

I'm getting bored with Babe and JR, now - haven't we seen / been through all of this stuff, before? Maybe it's just the "calm before the storm" - I'm sure that their storyline will pick up and become more interesting (along with Tad and Di's), when Dixie comes back, more regularly!

Well, erica was drugged so that explains her being nutty! our news said the explosion scene at the mardi gras will air on 2-13. I noticed they generally run about 3 weeks behind real time.

Well, it sounds like things might pick up soon for our show. I hope so. It has been so incredibly boring lately. It sounds like a few of our 'beloved' storylines may be getting tied up soon. I so hope so.

I laughed too when Erica lost it. My wife and I were watching it last night laughing. She kept saying, how can two guys get stabbed and there is no blood. There was barely any blood on the knife for that matter. Erica's dress was spotless too! Forensic study must be hard in Pine Valley since none of it's citizens bleed apparently. The producers should have really been bold and brought back Michael Nader for the flashbacks. Erica could have stabbed Dimitri all over again. Now that would have been entertaining. Of course poor Michael Nader had that nervous breakdown a couple of years ago, so I suppose they didn't want to risk it.

I agree with everyone that Babe and JR are turning into a snoozefest. All this back and forth crud. It may be fun if Babe does turn out to be expecting. What with Junior do then?

That explosion looked bad. I am glad no one was seriously hurt. They showed it on our local ABC stations the day after it happened. Very scary. It looks like that Mardi Gras will be exciting. It is a shame that Ethan is going, but the character has been Boooooring lately. I wonder who will get Cambias with his departure. Hopefully it won't go back to Zach. Maybe Binky will get it all. Poor Simooooaaaan. She is never happy for long. Always a bridesmaid, never a bride. Maybe she will hook up with Jonathan or Josh.

I really hope we are all wrong and Janet didn't kill Trevor off camera. I really, REALLY hate when they kill long time characters off, off camera. What a rip-off to the loyal viewers. Trevor (and Janet when she left) were so well liked, it really is a nasty thing to do. I hope Janet did something else to put Trevor on ice and didn't kill him. That would really stink.

Well..I think it looks as if Tad got a haircut...looks like the "helmet" got smaller. Glad to see it.
You know I like Simone and Ethan...but I just don't know he sort of looks just like an English butler to me. Always with the dark suit and tie...they haven't really given him much of a role to play. The old "daddy you weren't there for me thing" is getting old. I think Simone is great and a really wasted talent. She can be so funny.
