I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!! I been so busy the last few days, I didn't get a chance to get online.. I watched part of the Hooolia and Maria scenes and it was interesting. What I want to know is, even with Hooolia convicting a mafiosa type hasn't Pine Valley seen bigger criminals? I mean they had an international drug lord in PV. You would think Hoolia's little run in with the criminal element wouldn't have kept her in protection for so long. It looks like they won't be bringing Sydney Penney back right away, she said she was still with Noah. Unless they bring her back and re-cast Noah. It was very interesting to see Lee Merriweather again. From what I recall she left before because she wanted more money than AMC wanted to pay her.. I wonder if they worked this all out... (We all know how BUSY Lee has been since AMC.) and she is back as Ruth for a while, or if this was just a way to get Ruth into a celebration for once and not 'At a Nursing conference in Timbuktoo' or wherever she has been for the last 3 years.

Yep, Ruth has been ALL OVER the World with those conferences, or "IN SURGERY." Strange about 'Hoolia' coming out of hiding. Is the "short hair" her desguise? Missed the show today, went for my 5th Chiropractor Appointment.

Yes, Hoolia's disquise was her hair.... LOL!!! Seriously though, I know this is AMC and the writers take liberties ALL THE TIME.. But wouldn't you think her family would have to have gone somewhere neutral and AWAY from Pine Valley to meet her, if it was even possible. Let's bring Hoolia right back to Pine Valley where she had her problems to begin with.. Not to mention the way Noah used to be written, he would have NEVER let her come alone.

Anyone else love M/M giving Ed-dumb the business yesterday? He can be such a jerk. Too bad they showed her kissing him in the previews!

I'm so sure Anna is going to climb up into the hayloft. How pg is she now?????? And can I just add that when pg, morning sickness never hit quite so quickly and disappeared so quickly?! Guess a man is writing that part. LOL!!!!!!

Lori and JR! EWWWWW!!!!!! His poor little face went into spasms when she said she wanted to be really close to him! That is one love scene I definitely don't want to see!!!!

I think you are right, and it is a man who has never had to live with a pregnant wife.. LOL! I have been noticing that along with Anna. One day she has morning sickness, the next day she is jumping through hoops and fighting the 'bad guys' AMC takes such liberties with the characters it is laughable sometimes.

I can't say this enough, NuNuJR Must go. Those facial expressions truly are painful to watch. He is probably a nice person, but he is NOT RIGHT FOR THIS PART.

Hope that you all had a very happy holiday!

And hope that you're feeling better soon, Faith! Sorry to hear that you had that relapse - hopefully you'll be pain free again right away!

I'm with you, Pembo - that was some AWFUL SINGING at the end of the Christmas episode! I'm sorry that you missed it, Lilboo - hopefully you can catch it on SoapNet, 'cause it's definitely worth cringing over! Aside from that, I thought that it was nice and touching......although Mia did seem to "forgive" Liza awfully quickly.....and now all of a sudden, she's her cheering section? "You're so strong and wonderful, Liza!" Yeah, strong enough to push you out a window, again, if you get anywhere near my husband, again! And I just KNEW that Mia was going to call of her wedding to Jake! I just had a feeling that they would never get married. Poor Jake - he never has any luck with women. He and Simone should get together, since she never has any luck with men!

Sarge and Faith - you know where else Ruth always is, when she's not with Joe or in a Nursing conference? She's either "BAKING COOKIES" (I thought it was so funny that the first thing we saw Ruth do on the show, the other day, was take something out of the oven!) or "IN PEDIATRICS"! Good to see Lee / Ruth back on the show, though, even if it was just for one episode.

I LOVED M/M telling Ed-dumb what she REALLY thought, the other day - he deserves it - what the heck does he expect from her?? I was also disappointed when I saw them kissing during the coming scenes for today's show (which I haven't seen yet). And I hate that they're "copping out" and having Aidan's reason for being attached to Maria be because she looks like someone from his past. That is such a typical cop out storyline.....which usually leads to the character leaving to find the person whom he's remembering (like Pierce). I hope that this doesn't mean that Aidan is leaving the show. Anyway, I wish that M/M would stick to her guns - when Ed-dumb told her to leave, yesterday, I wish that she'd said "OK!" and left Wildwind to lead her own life in PV.

What an eclectic group of people at the Martins' house on Christmas, huh? What were Erica, Bianca, and Chris doing there? Wouldn't they have been celebrating with Myrtle and Opal? And where was Opal? Wouldn't she have been there for Tad? Why didn't anyone question why Kendall (whom I guess is supposed to be in her 20's) was there with her arm around 17 year old JR????

And speaking of JR......I'm glad that I'm not the only one who noticed the convulsions that he went into when Laurie told him that she wanted to "be with him", yesterday! VERY painful to watch! As I've said before, I would rather see more of Jamie and Joanie. What sullen girls, though - are they really that miserable? They don't even smile when they're with JR and Jamie! I know that they both have tough situations with their parents, but do these girls EVER smile? I would think that at the very least, Laurie would have trouble keeping a straight face every time JR squints, scrunches, or blinks at her!

Speaking of Mia forgiving Liza.. I haven't been able to catch up so this is from a couple of days back..... Here you have Mia, hobbling around with a cane.. Now, I don't know for sure about this since I have never worn heels myself, but I would think if you were limping and having problems with your legs you wouldn't wear 2 inch + heels as Mia was wearing when she went to 'forgive' Liza. I was watching the Christmas Eve episode last night and couldn't help but snicker as I saw Mia left Jake's apartment to take Colby her gift and heard her clicky clacking heels on Jake's hardwood floor. Now, don't get me wrong, I think heels look nice on ladies, but when you are recouperating from a 30 foot plus fall I would think gym shoes would be more in order.... What do you ladies think?

I agree Sarge! i hate wearing heels to work - much less recouping from a fall.

I may be the only one that feels this way - but I think Monday's episode looks good - What women want. I kind of like the ladies all working together. I loved the sparring between Erica & Bianca and the other group of ladies - it was funny.

Oh did I miss the show - I thought Chris and Erica were getting married at Christmas?? Did they talk about postponing it or whatever, I missed a couple days here and there.

Glad you are feeling better Faith. How cold is it down there in Miami - its pretty chilly here.

Hey Everyone!

You're right, Christine - Erica and Chris were supposed to get married at Christmas.....until she told him that she had hired a Paris designer to make her gown, and it wouldn't be ready until June! And speaking of postponed weddings.......

I also wondered about Mia and those heels, Sarge! You would think that a physical therapist (even one who only held the job for about one episode) would know better than to impede her recovery by wearing them!

I'm also looking forward to Monday's episode, Christine - it looks neat! I guess they're doing that to compete with OLTL's musical episode and their live episode gimmicks. Regardless, it will be something interesting and different!

I started watching old tapes, again - here's what was going on, exactly 6 years ago, now: Liza and Adam were getting married for the FIRST time (believe it or not!), with the sole purpose of making Brooke and Tad jealous. Of course it didn't work, because Brooke was too wimpy and rejected to "go for" Adam and let him know that she wanted to be with him, and Tad was trying desperately to convince Gloria that he wanted more than a casual relationship with her. So Liza and Adam got stuck together....for the first of many times! Meanwhile, "Red" was trying to convince Myrtle to move to the North Pole with him and his elves, and Maria and Dimitri were sneaking to the fertility clinic in Center City to have a paternity test to determine who Maddie's biological father was! And Erica, thinking that her marriage to Dimitri was solid, was condescendingly "counseling" Skye and telling her that she had no chance with Ed-dumb, and telling Janet that she needed to put her foot down with Trevor so that he would let her see Amanda regularly!

It's 70 degrees right now, I guess it was around 54 this morning, I slept in till 8:00am. IASW: I loved that story line with "red" and Myrtle, it was cute. Have a great Sunday everyone, I am going to the Movies and grabbing a snack after!
