Thanks! I got the wrapping paper at the Dollar Tree! Last year they had some nice Disney wrapping paper with Mickey & Minnie and the gang, so that's what I went after, but they only had Tink this year. Not really the boys favorite character but I'm sure they won't mind once they see what's inside!!

Just an update to tell you a little about our family!

DH - My hard working husband. We have been married for over 10 1/2 years. He is a welding inspector and works a lot. He was a little hesitant about going to WDW the first time, but after 3 great trips he is really starting to love it. Although he probably would never admit that!

Me - Shelly - Stay at home mom, PTO VP, Soccer team mom, and lover of all things Disney! I look forward to getting back to my banking career someday, but am enjoying the time with the kids right now.

DS9 - A very active and energetic little boy. He wouldn't like me calling him a little boy though. He is growing up too fast! He is very smart and funny and a great soccer player. He is very dramatic, I really expect a big reaction from him on Christmas morning! He is the best big brother in the world too. He has always loved to take care of his little brother, sometimes we have to remind him that his brother is 7 now and can do things for himself! DS9 loves all things Disney and Star Wars!

DS7 - My baby! He is my sweet cuddly baby. He loves how we all baby him and do everything for him! He is very smart too and is very good at all sports. He is finally getting used to all day first grade, but preferred half day kindergarten much better! He loves to talk and especially loves to talk about Disney. Loves Star Wars like his big brother too. And Loves Minnie Mouse and wants to "marry her" when he grows up!

As I mentioned our first trip to WDW was in 2005. We stayed at CBR and absolutely loved it. But we also like trying new things and would like to stay at all of the moderates. So we stayed at POFQ in 2007 and CSR in 2008. So up next of course would be POR. . . But we just couldn't resist going back to CBR for this trip because of all the rehabs and changes that have taken place there recently, especially the new pool! Plus the trip is a surprise for the boys and CBR is their favorite resort. So they are getting a double surprise - WDW and CBR!!

Well we wanted to fly mid week this time for cheaper airfare and that worked out great! We didn't want to go at the beginning of the month thinking it might be busier with leftover holiday travelers and the marathon. So originally we were thinking about Jan 27 or 28 through Feb 3. But then it was brought to my attention that the Superbowl is in Tampa that weekend and that could bring crowds to WDW. So we backed it up a week. So now we are going after MLK Jr Day but before the Superbowl!

The kids will have to miss 5 days. There's 6 school days in there but they have one off for in-service day or something. Hopefully it won't be too hard on DS9 to make up the work. His teacher is great, so I'm sure she will be a little lenient. We probably won't be able to take him out once he gets a little older. So we are enjoying traveling in the off season while we can!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!


Well, the big reveal went well. A little strange at first, but good! I don't think they really believed it at first. Maybe a little bit of shock. They just sat there and looked at us strange. DH was right - he said they wouldn't get it until the very last layer where it said - we are going to Disney in just 26 days! I thought they would get it after the sunglasses or shirts. Shows what I know!

So they opened all of their Santa gifts and then saw the small Tinkerbell box in the back. They asked - Who is this for? We told them it was for them both from us. And here they are looking at us strangely as we told them not to rip it open and to open it carefully and slowly because it is in layers.

So they start to open it - slowly.

They read the first layer.

They see the sunglasses. They don't get it. . .

Okay, onto the next layer. . .

They see the shirts, they think they're nice, but still don't get it!

They continue on. . .

They have just opened the layer of the books "for the plane". I think they are now starting to catch on, but don't know if it's for real!

And the final layer is revealed - WE ARE GOING TO DISNEY IN 26 DAYS!!!

They think it is a joke! They are looking at us like we are crazy and saying things like - What? When? Is this for real? Wait, that's 2009, not 2010!

So we tell them that it is very real and that we have been planning this for 7 months!

And the excitement begins!

We have one "passing out"!

Some jumping up and down and hugs!

DS9 gives us his famous "Rock on" sign!

And now they sit down to look at the Disney Countdown Calendar and look at what we are going to be doing each day.

Then they go on to open some more Disney shirts for the trip!

Thank you for sharing! The boys are so cute. I have to tell you though, as we were looking at the pictures, my DH says, "is that a flat screen?" Shows you what he thinks is important!!
