Hi, thanks for taking the time to read my plans for Dec. 4 - 12
Family members going on the trip for the whole week:
My husband
My son
Myself, Brandi
Arriving Dec. 9 Wed. evening and staying until 12th:
My mom
My dad
My brother
We are staying at Pop Century. We are driving down. Also we avoid using the bus if possible.
My parents and brother have not visited since '98 or '99. My family has been three times this year alone and in total probably 12 times.
My parents and brother have no must sees except they want to spend a full day at MK and a day at Epcot. My brother wants to visit DHS.
Our son does not take naps at Disney. He stays wide awake and then finally falls asleep in his stroller. Taking breaks in the afternoon does nothing for him except make him mad from boredom. He's been to Disney at 14 months, 26 months and 27 months.
Schedule:
Dec. 4
This is going to be our travel day. Originally, we were going to travel on Dec. 5 but we decided to leave a day early. Unfortunately, we could not get a room only reserv. for one night so we are staying off site at one of the Radissons. I used my hotel rewards points through radisson as a discount and got the room for $45. I'm pretty happy about that!
Usually we leave in the middle of the night and arrive at Disney around 9 am. This time we are leaving around 5 or 6 am and we will arrive around lunch time.
I think that we will go to DTD this day so that we can buy some festive clothes to wear to the parade taping the next day. I want a mickey santa hat. I think we'll all get one.
I don't have an ADR that night so we'll probably eat at Earl of Sandwich. I've always wanted to try it.
Dec. 5
We are going to the Christmas Parade taping at MK today. What time should we arrive at MK?
We'll probably go to that until after lunch and check into to Pop later in the day. How else can I do it? Should I check in online?
Dec. 6
We will go to AK this day. We don't really have much of a plan here. We know we want to ride Safari, EE, and Dinosaur. Tyson wants to ride Triceratops Spin (like Dumbo). We missed safari and EE on our last trip. AK closes at 6. We'll eat an early dinner at Sanaa. Then we will go to MVMCP. We bought our tickets this week!
Dec. 7
We are visiting HS that day. It's open until 7 pm. I still have not ridden TSM. We have to ride TOT, RNRC and see Playhouse Disney and Little Mermaid. We will leave there at 6 pm and drive over to the MK parking lot. We'll take the monorail over to the Contemporary. We'll eat at CG at 7:35. Hopefully, we'll get a seat near the window for Wishes. I don't want to go on any deck to view it because I'm terrified of heights. After that we'll go back to the room.
Dec. 8
We will go to MK all day and casually ride what we feel like riding. We'll eat at Kona for dinner and then tour the monorail resorts!
Dec. 9
We're going to park at MK then take the monorail to Epcot because we're coming back to MK to see Wishes that night. We want to look at the countries first then ride what rides we can squeeze in. Dinner is at Garden Grill at 4:50 pm. That gives us enough time to go back to MK to meet up with my parents and brother to watch Spectro and Wishes. Afterwards if they are up to it, we will go to DTD.
Dec. 10
Ohana bfast is around 10 am this morning. We are going to MK all day until we have to leave because the party is beginning. Dinner that night is with everyone. We're eating at Ohana at 7:50 pm. I think we'll tour the resorts again with my parents. My mom would like that.
Dec. 11
We are visiting Epcot this day. My husband, son and I have ADRs for Le Cellier for lunch at 12:55. I hope to change it so we can all go. We'll ride rides first then go to the countries. That day is Epcot EMH so we'll have plenty of time. Dinner that night is with everyone at Coral Reef at 7:05pm.
Dec. 12
Check out and drive over to DHS. We need to leave for home around 6 pm. My brother wants to go on TOT and RNRC.
Thanks for reading. I'd appreciate any suggestions and insight. I've never been at Christmas and I've never planned for more than just my husband and son.
