All I Want For Christmas Is an Okapi, a Dinosaur, a Herd of Elephants and ...

Welcome back to the real world. I loved seeing all the pictures and can't wait to hear the stories behind them.

I'm not waking up in Pop Century this morning, excited for a new day of fun in the sun. (Or in the rain, as it was for the first few days.)

I'm not waking up in Alabama, happy to spend the whole day hanging out with my two favorite little girls playing dollhouse, making Toy Story figures have interesting conversations with each other, dancing to the castle show, or eating ice cream for breakfast.

I am waking up to a house that is need of some attention, and a cat that needs the same. And to laundry, suitcases that need to be unpacked and put away, and a stack of mail that needs to be sorted through. And to paying bills. This is the real world, and I guess I better cope with it nicely and correctly so that I am able to enjoy my next magical escape in October. :wizard:

Speaking of October, when I get the house in some semblance of order again, I will finish up the last few pictures from last October. I thought I would do that from Pop one morning, but I just didn't.

I want to catch up on all of your reports, too, because I know I have missed so much fun!

This trip was again wonderful, as all of our trips have been. We have never once left thinking we didn't want to go back, that's for sure. ;) I have many pictures, some normal and some not, as usual. We were able to meet up with several 'old' DIS friends, and it was a pleasure to meet new ones. The weather wasn't great for us the first few days, and although it made the temperatures pleasant, getting little ones in and out of the rain and covering the strollers and such sort of wears on you after a while, so I am really glad that Debby moved on. When it did stop raining, it pretty much stopped for good, with only one other rainy few hours at the very end of the trip.

For now, we get back to real life - jobs, bills, workshops, getting a new classroom ready, etc. Oh yeah, and one other minor event that is scheduled for September. princess: Jill did wonderfully well during the trip. She 'does pregnancy' well - so much that you hardly even think about her being pregnant unless you look at the big basketball she carries in front of her. She did slow down some, but we've begun to slow down as a whole when it comes to WDW, and the weather made us slow down some at first, so slow and easy was pretty much the theme for the trip. Some days, we did a few things in parks, swam and rested at the room, then went back out to play again. Some days, we played a little longer and called it an early night. It all worked out very well.

I will take this time, also, to thank you for your friendships - for those we have not met, we hope to some day, and for those we have, you have all been such a joy to meet. You are just as kind, sweet, and wonderful in person as we knew you would be. We share this common bond in our enjoyment of Disney things, and it makes us feel at home with you when we meet. We value the time and efforts you make to come the DIS meets. We enjoy reading your reports, although there are so many, it's hard to get to everything often, as you all know, as well. Just know that finding the DIS, finding you guys, having fun with our virtual living in DIStown, and the good feelings we get from Disney trips and Disney things - all of that is important and special to us. We cry with you and for you during hard times. We laugh with you (and okay, sometimes at you :p) during fun times. You are a part of our lives from across the miles, across country borders, and even across big waters! :) Thanks for joining us on our journeys, and thanks for your friendships!

Welcome Home MeMom! Sorry I wasn't one of the DIS families you got to meet up with during your trip but I was following along in spirit here on my laptop. :goodvibes

I'm sorry the weather wasn't cooperative but it sounds like you had a great trip anyways.

Good luck getting your things in order & getting ready for the next school year. Can't wait to read about the trip.

Guess who's back!! I appreciate you taking a vacation so I could get caught up on the last TR and be in from the start of the upcoming one :thumbsup2

Hope the real world treats you well, at least you still have summer break for awhile before the REAL world starts again!

I swear before your next trip, my phone better be fixed so I can actually receive pictures you send to me.

I can't wait to hear all about this trip!!

Thanks for all of the greetings as we return to normal life. I have had a productive day here getting the house back in order and washing clothes. It is not good for me to sit down right now, because if I start reading or get still for long, I find my eyelids getting heavy.

I am going to run through about a third of what is left of the last pictures of the October trip quickly, and then we will start on the new report.

After Living with the Land, we went over to see Figment.

(I help it up so you could have a pretty background instead of just a table.)

It was good, but piping hot. I probably ate about half of it.

There was music in the air, which is part of what I really love about Disney World.
