Aw the Briar Patch. Wish I was there today.
It is a beautiful day here today & supposed to be a sunny weekend so I am looking forward to it. I will be busy planting some flowers.
I think the Splash Mountain area is very nicely themed. I have waited many times at the Briar Patch with a sleeping baby or toddler in a stroller while the big people have been riding Splash or Big Thunder. I have a Splash Mountain towel, or at least I used to. Come to think of it, I haven't seen it in a while. I also have a Splash Mountain tie-dyed t-shirt for only one reason - we used to have a tie-dyed t-shirt day at school. I'm not really a tie-dyed type person, but since I was able to Disneyfy it a little, I went ahead and got one. That was several years ago. We don't have tie-dyed day any more, so it is stuck away in a drawer.

After graduation, dress rehearsal for her recital tomorrow, swimming at the pool at the hotel where John's parents are staying, and a pizza dinner, she fell asleep in the car.

I hope everyone has a great weekend! Mine is thankfully pretty quiet. I have a bday dinner tonight & am watching my nephew Sat night, but other than that it's quiet.
Today was not a nothing day, nor will tomorrow be. After I get home from church on Sunday, then maybe it'll be a nothing/quiet day. That will be nice, since it's the day before the last week of school, and the students will be out of their minds!!!

It really is hard to believe it is only five weeks. June is booked, so this will be a fast five weeks! Seems like I was saying 16 weeks and 14 weeks just a blink ago.
Graduation was nice. They didn't try to overdo. Each class sang a song separately, and there were some together songs. It was short and to the point, which was nice. Sometime things like that try to get too long, and the kids get restless, but this one went very well.
Have fun at Brooklynn's graduation and the dance tonight. I look forward to the pictures.
I think I took about 30 throughout the entire day. That's not much for me. I'll try to put them up tomorrow night when I get home.

I have looked at the pretzels twice, and I don't know why I have not made a purchase either time. I think at Christmas I was on a really, really tight budget, but I am going to be in a tiny bit better shape this time, so I plan to get a pretzel.

I've stayed at Shades of Green a couple time with my in-laws who were retired military. It's really nice, although not much in the way of themeing. The rooms are nice and big and the grounds are pretty - although I haven't been there in about 6 years. We used to walk down the path to cross the main road and get the monorail at the Poly. Saw some little gators in the ponds. They had a big Mickey in the lobby that was all patriotic decorated. I don't think I've ever seen a pin from there. Do they even make them? I know they used to have shirts and caps with SOG logos on them.
You will have to be the SoG representative, then, and get pictures of it and of the gift shop merchandise.

We shed a few, and Trent made fun of us. We didn't bawl, but there were some sweet moments that caused some tears to roll. I remembered Jill's Kindergarten graduation, so it brought back many memories.

She has had a big day. She is in bed now. The real show is tomorrow. They only have one dance, but their number is not until late in the show, so we have to stay for a long time.

It will actually be Pre-First and then 1st the next year. She was still 4 when school started. She's beginning to sound things out and read, and I suspect she will be a very good reader by this time next year.
