Yes, it IS time for you to go back. '08 anyone? :teeth: As for ND, it's an inside joke only to me. I was a missileer once and assigned to the 91st Strategic Missile Wing at Minot AFB, ND, many moons ago. This Hallmark moment brought to you by the new Nuke LaLoosh novel, Strategic Air Command--I Was SACumcized.

Sleepy -still enjoying your TR. We were also stationed at Minot ND - 3 lovely winters :rolleyes1 DH was part of the 72nd BS there and it has been 10 years since we left.

Hope that you are almost done with your next installment. We are taking our first cruise next May (unless the military decides DH needs to spend time away...) and I have been telling him about your's and FF TR.

Thanks again

Hey SleepDog . . still here enjoying your TR. I'm waiting until you are finished before I tell my dh about it. He'll love it, but he will fuss too much about waiting for the installments . .LOL. I know what you mean about the coke-bottle-bottom glasses. I have them, too. I must say that we found the nightlight extremely helpful on our last cruise. We bought one of those blue ones that only light in the night. They're just enough light in the bath (and a slight glow to give you a hint of the right direction) without being so bright to keep you up. I prefer it pitch black, too.

See you on the next installment . . .

LOVE the TR! :) Was a great read last Saturday when it poured here in New England! Love the wit and banter... Just waiting three more weeks before I can have that nice glass of red wine at Palo and of course, the chocolate souffle! I may even try the lamb! I will read until it is my turn to embark... :)

Note to self after reading last installment.........pack night light.
Found my Palo dress yesterday woo hoo!!!!!! :cool1:
Can't wait to read what else you guys got up to at Serenity Bay....I can't wait to get a floatie & just relax on that still, calm water. Ahhhhhhhhhh.

Okay, I've been wrapped up in the Ball prep and set up (and clean up to come), so I've let the TR languish a bit. I promised if you were patient, I'd attempt to do something to at least let you know I'm still around. . .such as a pic of Doc and me in all our finery. To wit:

And here's a bonus of Princess on Halloween as Tinkerbell:

You can blame the goofy smile on me. . .;)

A new episode to the TR is forthcoming, I promise! And, thank you all for having the patience to continue reading my long TR and the kindness to actually compliment me. I am humbled. Truly.
Sleepy

What a cute Tinkerbell & you & Doc don't look too shabby yourselves. :rotfl:
Hope the new installment will be coming soon. :rolleyes1

"Why not Minot?"
"Freezins the reason!"

BTW, thanks for the great trip report! :teeth:
Yep, that's the quote, alright. Here are a couple of jokes from my time there.
State tree of ND? Telephone pole
Why does no one go AWOL in ND? Three days later you can still see them.
And. Thanks for reading!

I could cry plagarism, but I'll refrain.
Nuh-uh. Mine didn't happen at 3 a.m. ;)

I understand about the glasses/contacts also! And I loved the part about Saul on the road to Damascus!
Lot of us nearly blind types out there! Maybe we should do a cruise together--we all take our contacts out or glasses off and do a group scavenger hunt on Deck 9 one night. The Myopic Meandering on the Magic or the Wandering Winos on the Wonder. Just a thought. Glad you liked my biblical reference--I try to be occasionally literary. . .;)

Blythe - I won't tell you when I was there, but it's safe to assume the glaciers had receded before I arrived at Minot. . .if just barely. ;) I promise to be done by May. lol

I prefer pitch black. My head, not so much. :teeth: So, gonna sock it to your DH after I'm done, eh? My suggestions before you do:

1) Make sure no games are on TV that day.
2) Bring him a beer. . .or a case.
3) Tell him it's for charity.
4) Have caffeine ready.
5) Please prepare him for the toe shot. :thumbsup2

I'm sure it made great kindling after you read it, too. lol Seriously, thank you for the kind comments. If you're a little iffy about the lamb, I suggest ordering it medium unless you're a definite med-rare to rare person. Either way, it's still excellent. I'm excited for you about your trip. Three weeks, huh? No problem. ;)

Note to Disneygrl36: be closest to the bathroom. :thumbsup2 As for Serenity Bay, I got up. Doc did not. More to come on that. . .;)
Thank you for the sweet comments on the family. I know, I know we hardly look old enough to even have a Princess. :teeth:

JD & FM: And I appreciate your comments as well. Tink, er, Princess is a doll, and Doc is patient and caring. . .and looked smashing in her gown. :) We had a blast!

Dog, love your trippie! I'm not very verbose, LOL, but I figured something is better than nothing.

Wow, you clean up nicely. :rotfl: Of course Doc is beautiful, and Tinkerbell could not be any cuter!

Ok Dog, I was really, really polite all weekend. We are more than ready now. :goodvibes

Wowser, Bowser! :thumbsup2

Loved the bonus shots from the ball and Halloween.

My, what a sweet princess you and Doc have!

Okay. I have too much to say. Not sure I have the time to do it right now. Suffice it to say....love the pics, love the characters, love the story. This makes for an awesome read. :thumbsup2 You, my friend, know how to weave a yarn. And you are dang funny, to boot. And you and the misses and the princess clean up just dandy. Wow! :teeth: Thanks for making me want to go on a cruise!

I used to swim as a child for a club whose initials were SAC and my warm up jacket had a patch on it with those initials but not the periods after each letter (not that that's important but thought I'd note it for those who are detailed challenged) anyways when I wore my jacket to ANYTHING not swim related I ALWAYS had some man (remember I was a kid at the time) comment about Strategic Air Command (I guess they thought I got the jacket from something related to that). I don't know where all the SAC is but we did live in an area with every known branch of the military around. Is there some sort of club for this SAC that would make people comment about it so much? :confused3

Salt water tastes like crap

You did not have to spend mucho bucks on a cruise to figure that out. :confused3

Glad to know why I remind you of ND - I'm a hop, skip and a jump from WPAFB in Dayton, so I know lots of folks who talk in "code" - using initials for everything! Heck, we have our own sort here on the DIS! ADR, MVMCP, LGMHPC, etc.

Very adorable princess photo! My girls were Cruella and a dalmatian puppy.
