Hi everyone,

I have never been to WDW or on a DL cruise, my hubby to be suggested that we do both for our Honeymoon in August- I would love everyone's opinions, best packages, suggestions, info, deals, warnings, tips, etc. etc. The more info we have the better. Thank you all for it! I'm really looking forward to our wedding and this great trip.
Appreciate your time! :D

Hi. Welcome to the DIS cruise boards. You've found a knowledgeable and enthusiastic community that will love to help you with your questions.

But the best way to start is to go to EntropyM's web site (hometown.aol.com/entropym) and download his "Magical Disney Cruise Guide". This is the most comprehensive compilation of unbiased DCL information in a single document. It's available in HTML, Microsoft Word, and plain ASCII text. We downloaded it and read it cover-to-cover. This is a great way to answer the questions you don't even know you have.

I also have a web site with a fair amount of useful reference material:

www.dcltribute.com

Barb and Tony, who post on this board as Inkkognito and atigeg also have a web site with a wealth of useful reference material:

www.castawayclub.com

Between Entropy's guide and these two web sites, you'll have a lot of your questions answered and will come up with more focused questions. This board is the place for them. We can usually help you out.

This would be a great honeymoon. Several of the regulars here took the cruise for their honeymoons. The cruise would be so nice, you really don't need a special package. You can pick a 3, 4 or 7 night vacation. Of course if you want to do the parks, they can be added also. There are many beautiful properties at Disney World for a new couple.

On the cruise, make sure it is noted on the reservation that you are a honeymoon couple. Make reservatons for Palo, the adults only restaurant. All of the rooms are nice, but on a trip this special, you might like a verandah room.

On the ship, all your meals and show are included, including pizza, burgers, ice cream, etc. by the pool. Alcohol is extra, but if you tell your room steward it is your honeymoon, he might bring champagne.;) Room service is also included. You could order a light breakfast and coffee and eat privately on your verandah.

What a special time for you! Enjoy all the planning for your wonderful day:)
