My 18 yo son and I just returned from a whirlwind weekend of Harry Potter fun. We stayed at Cabana Bay. We loved this hotel. The 3 minute bus ride was great and we never waited for a bus. One night at park closing we did choose to walk back to the hotel. It was a nice walk.
I had purchased 2 day 2 park tickets with the 3rd free. We spent most of our time in Harry Potter-lands. We loved Gringotts and wished it was longer. The train ride is awesome and the details in Diagon Alley and in London are brilliant, as the British would say.
Our last night there we headed to the Magic Kingdom for the Xmas party. Being in Disney and Universal in the same day, my opinion is that Universal was cleaner, less crowded, had less crying parents and screaming kids, and the rides at Universal are so technologically advanced over Disney.
After spending 3 days riding Gringotts and Forbidden Journey, the new Peter Pan queue isn't really that great. (although very nice

We did not have express pass and didn't really need it. We got to the park early and used single rider lines a lot. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Cabana Bay again.
