All Aboard! The Happiest TR That Ever Sailed ~May 1-9~ Ice cream for dinner! 6/20

Wow! We are updating at the same time with pratically the same days! :lmao:

The YC looked great! I'm hoping to try a deluxe in the near future; I'm trying to drown the "frugal me" out.

I wanted to go in Character Spot/Connection(?), but we ran out of time. Plus, I didn't want to push it on my niece. If you are reading my TR, you'll understand why. :rotfl2:

It must be nice to go to the parks with another lover of the Disney magic! My two were grumblers.

I love your pics so far! I can't wait for you to continue. Hmm, do we run into each other at Epcot on the 5th? Only time (& TRs) will tell! :rotfl:

I'm also glad your uncle is okay; that must have been a little worrisome, especially with no one picking up the phone.

Ahhh I HAVE to catch up on your TR! I will do that today, I promise!:goodvibes

Ahh the pool looks relaxing. :cloud9:

Love all the character pics! Sometimes I don't know what to say to them and it's hard because they can't talk back.

I know, I used to be so shy with the characters.... but then I realize... I will never see them again so I can feel free to act as silly as I want!:rotfl:

Such a full day already and you haven't even had dinner yet. Time does fly in Disney somedays doesn't it?

It's amazing what you can pack into a day! And I get so bummed looking at my watch all day "oh no... it's 3:00 already! Uh oh, now it's 6! Almost 9:00... the day is almost over!":scared: My mom laughs at me when I do that.

Wow! The pool looks SOO relaxing. :thumbsup2 And I absolutely have to try the strawberry shortcake at Sunshine Seasons!!! It looks incredible :) I still can't get over the fact that it's just you and your mom there--I really want to go on a girls only trip with my mom and sis sometime!

I really hope you're able to, it was so much fun. My mom is my favourite travel partner!

:faint: I can't believe I just found this. I have so much catching up to do. Congrats on the suite upgrade!! :cool1: Going back to read more. :surfweb:

Glad you found me!:cool1: Nice to see you here.:grouphug:

Hi there! I just found your TR and I'm loving it! The thing that really drew me into it was your avatar. You see, I've been dancing since I was 5 years old and ballet is my passion. I'm a ballet teacher now and I love passing on the art of ballet to my students. Anyways....I see you're from Canada. Where abouts? I'm from Buffalo so when I read that you flew out of Buffalo I got a bit excited! :goodvibes Well, time to go read your TR (I only read your first 2 posts!).

WHAT?!?! You don't like Disney popcorn? You are a weirdo! :rotfl2: Just kidding, of course. I don't blame you. If I worked around it I'd probably not be a fan myself. Although, I don't know...those popcorn buckets so mighty tempting.

Oh my goodness! How did I miss the updates? :confused3

I'm glad to hear that your Uncle is donig well! How awful to hear such news miles away!

SAB looks so great! I hope to be able to try it someday... I am a beach girl through and through so a sand bottom pool sounds great! :thumbsup2

That strawberry shortcake looks so yummy! That was one of those things I saw on the DIS and I was gonna make sure I tried it and then forgot all about it once we got there! :headache:

How fun the character spot didn't have a long wait! Every time we walked by the line was crazy!!

No fun that your Kim Possible clues were a bust! With how I saw so many kids fighting over the little phones I wouldn't be surprised if many were dropped/thrown a lot.

I'm excited to hear about Teppan Edo. I have heard such good thigns!!

Hey there! I actually don't dance anymore... I stopped once I got really busy with university, but I danced ballet all growing up and I miss it like crazy. I have a lot of knee problems from dancing (you'll see my knee braces appear in later photos!) and now can't really do it anymore which breaks my heart! I'm from Toronto, so not too far from you! We come to Buffalo a lot to visit Target.:goodvibes

I like the buckets!!:rotfl: I just don't like what comes in them. And guess what?? I don't really like Premium Mickey Bars either.:scared1: I'm going to be kicked off the DIS!

Yeah, I don't think our cell phone was in very good shape! I wonder how often they have to replace them?

You have to try the shortcake on a future trip, I am a huge fan.:thumbsup2 And usually the line for the Character Spot IS crazy... we've waited usually around 45 minutes before. We lucked out!!

Teppan Edo was so good! I'll have the update done soon.:goodvibes

I'm so sad to hear that you don't dance anymore. I feel blessed everyday that I'm able to get up and dance. I know that it won't last forever! I truly enjoy teaching my students and I'm also on a professional dance team (for the National Lacrosse League). I had a pretty bad knee injury this year and I thought that it was the end. Fortunately, I actually listened to a trainer and gave it the rest that it needed.

Sorry to continue with non-Disney topics, but which Target do you visit? I work in a Target plaza, but not actually at Target. :goodvibes

I can't wait to hear more about your trip!

I take a few open classes now and then but... that's really all I can manage. When I was in high school I spent 25-30 hours a week in the studio and I miss it so much (especially the shape I was in!) I have a number of friends dancing professionally hard and while I LOVE what I do, I think I'll always wonder how my life could've turned out had I pursued dance after high school. I attended a residential ballet school here in Canada for a little bit and they're some of the best memories of my childhood!:lovestruc

Hmmm... I don't know exactly how to describe the Target I visit because I don't know the Buffalo area too well LOL. It's pretty close to the Niagara Falls border... I think near an outlet mall? I am absolutely terrible with directions!

That is so cool you are able to dance and teach professionally... that must be such a rewarding job! What age group of students do you teach? I love being able to work with kids, it's the most amazing thing.:goodvibes Do you travel much to Canada with the Lacrosse team? Lacrosse is our national sport, after all!;)

Hello! :wave2:

I've been sailing along on with you on your report off and on throughout the evening and I'm finally caught up!

I just love your enthusiasm and sense of wonder about all things Walt Disney World... your report is a joy to read!

I know exactly which Target you're talking about! My friend works at the outlet mall. Sadly, we don't get to travel with the lacrosse team. We just perform at the home games. About 90% of the lacrosse team is from Canada (that's pretty much how the whole league is). Have you ever gone to a Toronto Rock game? I dance for the Buffalo Bandits and we play against them. As for my students...I teach girls ages 10 and up. I have two ballet classes this year and I'm actually dancing with my advanced girls!! I had a student drop out in January and the dance was already started and the costumes ordered. So, I stepped in! I also choreographed a lyrical trio for some of my advanced students.

Great pictures from the resort! I would love to try out the pool with the sand! It sounds great.. its like best of both worlds. We didn't get to do much loungin by the pool because of the weather..

My hair was always crazy, if I did dry it stright and so forth.. like an hour or to outside made it naturally wavy.. soo for the rest of the days I was wavy. hehe which was easier on me! haha

I love the picture of Donald from Mexico. I love the Three Caballeros and I would of loved a picture with him there. It seemed like there was quite a few little skits and things at epcot this past time. I love them.

Hi, Kathy!! WELCOME! :welcome:

Thanks so much for posting, I get excited about every single message. Welcome aboard and it's so nice to have you as a reader!

Yep, I have been to a Toronto Rock game! It was a few years ago now though... I think sometime in High School? My brother used to play lacrosse so I went with him a few times. The sport is WAY too rough for me though!

What's your favourite form of dance to teach? Do any of your students ever compete in Canada? I danced competitively when I was younger, I wonder if I've ever heard of your dance school! That's so much fun you get to perform with your students... you should post some pictures!:goodvibes:thumbsup2

Ahhh you got caught in the downpour? The crowds must've been great for you though!!

I straightened my hair again once or twice but mostly I just left it. Time at Disney is too precious to be spending all morning on my hair!:thumbsup2

I actually LOVE the boat ride in Mexico because I am also a huge Three Caballeros fan. I watched it all the time when I was a kid but my mom said she didn't remember it at all LOL.

Are you starting a TR soon?:goodvibes

I've had a super busy past couple of days (driving school ughhh. I think I am the oldest person in the class LOL I should have gotten my license years ago:scared:) but I will get the next update posted tomorrow afternoon! Thanks for the patience, you guys!:wizard:

Lacrosse is a rough sport, but I enjoy it. We have amazing die hard fans and they make the games that much more fun.

I only teach ballet and lyrical and I love them both. I grew up going to a very classical ballet school and the studio I teach at is very recreational. I get to use whatever music I want, so that's nice. I change it up every year. My Int. class danced to the Sleeping Beauty Waltz last year and wore gorgeous white tutus. This year, they're dancing to a medley from "Oklahoma" and they're wearing blue and white checked dresses. I'll be sure to post pics on my PTR. Our recital is next weekend. As far as competitions, they don't really do much. I think it's usually just the advanced tap class that goes, and they only do real local competitions. Tap is the strongest form of dance at my studio, but I try real hard to get them to love ballet!

Oh my gosh, when I was little I wanted to tap dance so badly that I used to tape pennies to the bottom of my shoes and walk around on the hardwood floors and tiles.:rotfl2: Sleeping Beauty sounds so pretty! I saw it performed by the National Ballet of Canada a few years ago and it is such a beautiful ballet. I have to admit though... I've never seen the Disney movie!!! The Oklahoma medley sounds really cute!

Good luck and "merde" to your students with their recital next weekend. You must be so excited to see them perform.:goodvibes

I'm very excited about the recital. I'm also dancing with the adult tap class. It's so much fun! I didn't start taking tap until 7th grade! The adult classes has women from 18-62 years old! Tap is something you can do forever it seems.

Ahhh I want to come and dance in your adult tap class!:cool1: That sounds like so much fun. How impressive that there is a 62 year old in the class... wow, she (he?) must be in such amazing shape!

Hmm... I wonder if the Toronto/Buffalo commute would be a little overboard for weekly classes?:rotfl: Maybe if the driving lessons go well enough! LOL

What are you dancing to for your tap song?

It's all women in our class this year. In the past, we did have one guy. We are dancing to "42nd Street." I love that song! My junior year in HS we did "42nd Street" for our spring musical. I just adored that show so much. I had a minor lead role and had so much fun.

Wow, you sing too? Triple threat!:worship:

You should go audition for a Disney stage show!:banana: I think you'd make a good Belle!:wizard: You could star in the musical production at DHS!:cheer2:

Yayyy! I just discovered your trip report, and what fun!! :cheer2:

You write with so much happiness and excitement, it's lovely! DH and I just got back from Disney World in January, and I'd convinced myself I didn't need to go again for a couple of years... but your great trip report makes me want to go back tomorrow!!!! Waaah!! :cool1:

That Yacht Club pool looks just fabulous! Can't wait to hear more about your fun-filled adventures!

Hi there! I am back from my vacation and all caught up on your TR. Your room view at the Yacht Club was beautiful. :cloud9:

I wouldn't call myself a triple threat, but I enjoy dancing, singing and acting. I haven't been in a show since my senior year in HS (back in 2000). We did "Grease" and I was Cha-Cha! I was always known as the dancer in HS. Growing up, I always wanted to be a princess at Disney. My mom said I would have made a great Belle, Jasmine or Megara (from Hercules) because they were all so stubborn (just like me).

I must say, I love your pictures of the YC. The BC/YC are my dream resorts!!! :cloud9: We're doing the Cape May breakfast in June and I can't wait to check out the hotel! SAB just looks amazing.
