Day Three, Part 2.
I told you guys I hadn't forgotten about you! I've got another update all ready.
The line for Primeval Whirl really wasn't too bad. I didn't ride it in December because the line was around 60 minutes and the FastPass machines weren't on. I like Primeval Whirl but it's just too short to wait in line for over an hour. So when we saw 15 minutes posted, I was pretty happy. We were on in about 10 minutes, woohoo!
I took this picture as a bit of a joke... my parents work together (my mom is an author and her and my dad run a publishing company and my dad technically works for my mom) so I was teasing my mom that this was her relationship with my father when they work together.
I think she found it funnier than he did when I explained the photo to him after arriving home.
As we were waiting, my mom became obsessed with taking a picture of an empty ride vehicle for the TR. Of course, people were so fast getting in them that we have about 10 pictures of random Primeval Whirl passengers but she was finally successful! So here you go, guys. Compliments of Mama Autumnpalm.
Since there was only two of us, we got paired up with another mother and daughter. As we waited to be transported back in time, the mother was telling us about how she bought heeled sandals for her daughter because she was a little short... and she had just reached the height limit! The little girl was so cute, she was SO excited to ride.
Ready for departure!
PW was a fun ride, as always, and I had a huge smile on my face once we were off. I really do love that coaster, it is so much fun.
We went to ride Dinosaur next with our FPs and figured we would get a drink or something near the entrance while we waited for our time to come up. However, once we got there we saw that the standby line was only 5 minutes! I didn't want to waste the FPs so we walked right on in the standby line. It was awesome. This is another pre-ride video I don't mind because it stars Dr. Claire Huxtable!
I love the Cosby Show.
Believe it or not, this was my mom's first time riding Dinosaur! I have no idea how... I could've sworn that she had ridden it before but she insisted it was the first time. I have to say, this attraction terrifies me (but in a good way). I get so into it and nearly have a heart attack every time! They did a great job with this ride. Here is our picture:
The crowds were so low our Time Rover wasn't even full!
On our way out of the attraction I was accosted by a real life Dino skeleton!
Don't worry, we made it out safely.
I checked the Times Guide next to see if there was anything going on soon and we saw that Finding Nemo: The Musical was on in 20 minutes! Neither of us had done this yet. We tried to get in during our December trip but the line ups were CRAZY and we were turned away every time. This time we made it in! It was kind of strange, though. A CM randomly came up to a party 2 families ahead of us and said he was cutting the line off there. The family in front of us got REALLY upset and one of their children started crying and they told him it was their last day, was there any way they could be squeezed in? We hung out behind them for a few minutes, wondering if we could get in too. He left to go "talk to his manager" and came back after a few seconds saying that because they wanted to see the show so badly, he would let in not only that family but everyone behind them! That included us and... oh, about 200 other families? Strange sense of humor aside, we were soon in the theater!
Another live band! I am a huge fan of steel drums so I was kind of groovin' to the music while we filed into the line.
The musical was awesome. I absolutely loved it! I've heard mixed reviews, some people saying it was too long, not very interesting, etc. but both my mom and I thought it was amazing. It will be a must see for us from now on! The cast is so talented and the music is nice and catchy so I really enjoyed all the songs even though it was the first time I was hearing them. We were super impressed! Here are a few photos from the show (don't worry, no flash was used!)
I'm so glad we took the time to see it. I highly recommend the show!
Once it was over, we were both starving for lunch! Even though my mom loves Flame Tree BBQ, I was dying to try Pizzafari so we decided to save FTBQ for our 2nd AK day. Off to Pizzafari it was! My breadsticks awaited me.
