All Aboard! *Monorail Project*

So I had these monorails that make it out mainly at Christmas around the bottom of the Christmas tree. Honestly, that was not enough. So the idea came to run it around the room.

I had a couple of trains with the standard track that came with them and then I visited Don's Trains to get the longer sections of track that I needed to complete the project. I made the pieces, out of wood, that fasten to the wall to hold the train track up. The wall pieces are painted to match the track.

I may run the train through the wall to the next room in time. I just wanted to get this up first.

Here is what I came up with:

So you used pieces of different tracks? We have one monorail set but the tracks wouldn't be long enough to make it around the room. Just trying to figure out how to make it work.

Yes, I used all the turns (12 of them, 3 for each corner) from one monorail set. I had the straight piece from 2 separate sets as well as an extra box of straight track. I then ordered the 8 extra long pieces from Don's Trains.

The length in the track was my biggest issue.
