All 5 of us had Swine Flu - but off to see the Queen tomorrow!

Sorry to hijack the thread but I'm wondering if anybody that has come into contact with Swine Flu can give me some advice.

DH has one to work today and the guy he shares an office with told him a couple of days ago that his daughter is getting over swine Flu. Today this guy had heavy cold symptoms but was still in work. My DH comes into one of the serious high risk categories and I'm really worried, should I be? The NHS direct website only gives instructions if you have symptoms. I don't want it to get that far. My MIL is high risk (he was with her all day Sunday) and we have a child under five.
To top it all DH starts jury service tomorrow:rolleyes:

My advice would be to ring NHS direct and wait to speak to someone tell them your partner has been in contact with someone who has/had swine flu,and the fact he has health problems too..even if you get advice it's better being reassured than worried.
I too have the same problem as we was in contact with people since being home we have been told if they display any symptoms they will be prescribed Tamiflu.:goodvibes

Can I ask how your swine flu started? I had a mega sore throat Monday and Tuesday, then yesterday it turned into awful sinus pain and headache, and today I started my day with vomiting and it's nasty opposite end friend.

I don't have a fever but am still very congested and have no energy.

I can't tell if it's jsut a bad cold or the flu, as I feel like if it was flu someone else would have it, and I wouldn't even be up to dis-ing. I also assume it would have started really quickly and been very severe, rather than have a slow built up.

Just incase anyone else is feeling under the weather try this link from NHS Direct for help.

Hope anyone who has or is affected makes a full recovery.

Ours was fever we was burning up (DP felt like his skin was on fire)..then the youngest developed a cough (rattly) and runny nose this was not long after landing, she too had a fever.
DP then yesterday was complaining of a banging headache.
We then all complained of sore throats, fever and generally unwell..also we too was running to the toilet and nausea.
I rang the NHS and with us only just coming back from Florida he felt it was wise to treat us with Tamiflu.

HTH..and definately read the website given above.
