Alicia & Matt's -VR at the beach and celebration at WDW!!! PG 6

How did I miss this? I didn't even realize you were planning a vow renewal! That is awesome! I'm along for the ride!

Welcome Heather! It has been a bumpy start! Changes abound!!! But we are settled on a date now!

That isn't a bad idea Laura!

i just want to say i followed your siggy link and have read thru most of your trippies... wow... you are an amazing woman, mom and wife... your family is so blessed to have you... you are also a gifted writer, bringing the reader right in to your world...

please accept my condolences on the loss of your son... i cannot even begin to imagine such tragedy... my heart aches for you and yours... your levi looks a lot like my daniel, and the thought of losing him just makes my eyes well up and my stomach hurt... i will add your family to my prayers...

God bless you on your recent pregnancy... i truly hope that it's progressing well...

i look forward to reading about your vow renewal... you have given me inspiration to consider renewing our vows for our 20th in 2012... since we were married on leap year (2/29) it would be extra special as we only get an anniversary every four years!

Congrats on your upcoming VR!! That is so exciting. My condolences to you and your family. My thoughts are prayers are with you. I lost a son in 1985. He was one at the time. My DH and I did our VR for our 25th in June 2008. We went to Cabo and took our 2 grown kids and thier gf/bf and my nephew who was our ring bearer at our original wedding walked me down the beach this time and carried our new rings.

Another way to symbolize your son or VR is by doing a sand ceremony. We did that for ours. You can search for sand ceremony on the internet and will come up with a lot of ideas.

I will follow this thread and see how things are progressing for you. Good luck with everything.

Denise

Alicia, I have followed your trip reports for quite a while now. I lurked for a long time. Have been with you on your great trips and cried with you when you heart was so broken I thought you might not find your way out of the darkness. I witnessed the kindness displayed by all of the kind people here that made the beautiful gifts for your Sweet Daughter for your return trip to WDW. I think of you and your family more than you will ever know. My prayers have been with you for years and continue to be. I am so happy for you and your family. I had missed hearing about you and your family and happened upon you today. Good luck with your VR and especially the new little one. Can't wait to here more.

Wow! Thank you so much! I think that renewing for you 20th (or 5th, :lmao:) is a beautiful idea. You need the extra time to plan/ I didn't realize how costly this would be. Still looking to cut corners so we can have it next year.

Denise, I am so sorry for your loss. It is so painful to have lost Levi. How do you manage? I have heard of the sand ceremony. I will look into it. Thank you!

Thanks for following me! It always amazes me when a lurker comes out and tells me such as you have. To me, it's just my life and it is so painful and raw at times I don't know why I share, to others it is a journey that they follow and experience with me. It is amazing to me how many follow my story. Thank you so much for being here.

Alicia,

It's good that you talk about him. That helps heal. Till this day, he would have turned 25 this past June. The holidays are still hard, even now, but I look at my 2 other kids and they help me get through it. They never knew him because he was our first born. It will get easier as the days go by. Here is a link for a vow renewal sand ceremony. I will be praying for all of you.

Thank you so much Denise. That is how the new baby will be. Isabelle and Levi were very close. I'm so glad they had that bond. I hate the pain she has had to go through though.

I have some pictures to share!!! On our last day at Disney in 2007, we had a late breakfast at Chef Mickey's then drove to Clearwater Beach. I have been vacationing in the CB area for years. I took Matt for the first time in 99, we took Isabelle in 06, and went back in 07. We haven't been back since. Although, I desperately wanted to stay a day or two, I knew we shouldn't, so I Didn't say much about it. Wish I would have. Maybe Levi would still be here. If we had spent more $ on vacay, we wouldn't have had it to remodel our bathroom (we were buying tile the day of our accident).

Anyway, so we spent about 4 hrs there, playing at the beach and having dinner at one of our fav restraunts down there. It was a VERY windy day. Sand was blowing everywhere! No one seemed to mind, even though I knew it was getting in Levi's eyes!

Ready for more VR changes???

I posted those because Clearwater Beach is a very meaningful place to us. More so than the Swan. We have decided to spend a couple of nights there and have our VR on the beach where we spent the day a week, exactly, before our accident. Then we are going to head to WDW to celebrate!!!

I'm not sure when it came to me to have it there, but it makes more sense to have it somewhere special. We will have a sand ceremony and include Levi in every way we can...

Then we will celebrate where Levi had so much fun!

So many changes....I hope you haven't had problems keeping up!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!

I am now 18 weeks pregnant! I have made it past my 16 weeks, which was my own stressful point. I did, however, have a scare. At 15 weeks I got crampy. That is how my last miscarriage started. So, scared out of my wits, I dropped Isabelle off at school and drove straight to Evansville to wait for my doctor's office to open. When they opened I was reminded that my OB is out on Mondays. I was obviously worried and I explained that I'd already drove to E'ville. So I had an ultrasound. I wasn't supposed to have another until Jan. 25. Everything looked healthy, I cried when I saw the baby moving and my placenta looked fine. The baby was giving us issues, b/c of hiding under my bellybutton in its shadow. Then the tech asked did we want to know what it was if she could tell, even though it was still several weeks early. I am not the type to be surprised here, so yeah, I wanted to know. She got a good view and she said she was 65% sure it was a boy, I could see it, kinda. Then the baby moved with a little butt up in the air at a PERFECT angle, and there IT was...Very prominently there...

So we have an anatomy appointment still on Jan. 25. So then we can be 100%, but I am already 99%....

His name will be Gabriel Ian Winkler.

I'm so happy for you that it looks like everything is okay! And congratulations on a boy:goodvibes

Good luck with the pregnancy, and I can't wait to hear more wedding/baby updates!

Aww, congrats for most likely having a little boy! That must be so exciting! :goodvibes And I looove the name Gabriel... that is totally the name I want to give my child if I have a boy someday. So cool! :goodvibes

Hi I found you on the restaurant boards and your siggy jumped out at me (Levi being your angel). So I started looking at your trs and I am so moved by your family.

I am so happy to hear of your pregnancy and I pray he is a healthy boy. Love the name too, almost named my baby Gabriel but he is Jacob.

Can't wait to hear more of your plans.

Hi! Thanks for coming over! Glad you got to "meet" Levi on my other threads. My little brother's name is Jacob.

Hey my friend....sorry you are having a rough day today!!! Hugs to you!!!

Oh and I am so ready to go buy some itty bitty BLUE stuff!!!! LOL

Generally I am a lurker as you can see but I've just finished reading through nearly 4 years of your life after seeing your siggy... My little guy, Zach is 19mo and he has an 8y/o sister, Erin.

Course I read this in a public place which was a HUGE mistake :sad2: I couldn't dry the tears fast enough! All I could think of were my 2 kids.

Your strength is amazing and your story has inspired me to pay more attention to the time I spend with my kids. Thank you for sharing, my sympathy for your loss:littleangel:, and congratulations on the baby:goodvibes and your VR:bride:.
