Anyone else been yet?

We went to see this yesterday and loved, loved, LOVED it!!! :goodvibes

And for all my fellow DCL fans, don't forget to check out the name of the ship at the end! ;)

hopefully will see it this weekend

Saw it on Friday, was really disappointed.
Left the cinema with a massive headache from the bad (and rather pointless) 3D. :headache:
I was so looking forward to it as well :confused3

Perhaps it would be better in 2D?

I saw it yesterday too, it was good at some points, but overall it wasn't all it was built up to be - but in fairness it was SUPER built up!

Have to admit, my favourite bit was seeing the Toy Story 3 trailer!! Although people were talking noisily throughout it - didn't they know I was trying to pay attention  :rotfl2:

Glad you enjoyed it. I think I may be the only person who really doesn't fancy seeing this movie.

I can't wait for the next Pirates of the Caribbean though :thumbsup2

We went to see this last Saturday and we absolutely loved it. Loved the performances and the characters, the 3D effects were brilliant at times, slightly blurry during action scenes but I enjoyed them, but it would be equally enjoyable viewed in 2D. The costumes and the visuals were stunning.
Some of the scenes were very funny, and some a bit dark (as you would expect from Mr Burton). I can't wait to see it again. And yes ... we did spot the name of the ship at the end :yay::yay:

Just out of interest, is the film going to be enjoyable for kids?

Went to see this Saturday with Matt and a few friends, we all came out very disappointed :( was very bored through the whole film maybe we were expecting more as we had been excited about this film for ages.

The 3D was good though even if alot of things don't come out of the screen the picture quality is awesome.

The trailers before the film looked great lol that How to train a dragon looks great!

We are thinking of seeing this this weekend in 3D, but there seems to be mixed review about this film, so might have to think of something else to see if reviews don't improve

We went on Sunday and all loved it. Molly and Lewis are 10 and 8 and they thought it was great !!! I love Tim Burton and Johnny Depp was spot on as the Mad Hatter :)

I saw it at the weekend, I had been looking forward to it since it was announced. I thought it was good however it got a bit to Golden Compass and lost it way a bit towards the end. I felt it lost a lot of the satire, humour and irony from the original book. It wasn't what I expected from Tim Burton.

We saw it in 2D. I wasn't that fussed about seeing it as I'm not a Tim Burton fan. I thought it was ok, but not worth all the hype. I saw it with my friend who is a Tim Burton fan and she didn't like it.

I think we might go and see it in 2d instead of 3d then.

Its just enhanced picture or do lots of things pop out the screen?

I didn't find the 3d that impressive and would of rather have seen it 2d, it doesn't have things jumping out of the screen, in fact DBF took off his glasses and couldn't tell the difference.
