Hey everyone. I'm new to this forum but im definitely not new to Disney. I've been going there for 12 years, since I was very little. I heard a rumor today that Alfredo's in EPCOT was closing. Is this true? If it is I will be sad because we always eat there before we watch the fireworks. Thanks!

I believe it's going bye-bye (or should I say 'arrivederci?') in August.

I wish I could say I'm going to miss it. The food was good... but the seating is crowded, the wait for said food was excruciating, and the staff was significantly less-than-Disney-normal-friendly. Once we started having multiple less-than-satisfactory experiences there we quit going there altogether. :sad2:

I would be surprised if it wasn't replaced by another Italian restaurant. Hope the service and seating are improved when it happens.

Yes, it is scheduled to close the end of August. We ate in Alfredo July 4th this year and really enjoyed it. I had eaten there many years ago (at least 18 years ago) and wanted to eat there one more time before they closed. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our meal. I believe it will be reopening the day after it closes with new owners through December and then it will be closed most of next year for renovation.

Do we know when a replacement is coming for sure and who they will be?

Alfredo's is closing Friday, August 31 and will reopen on Saturday, September 1 as Tutto Italia.

Then in the Spring of 2008 Tutto Italia will close for a major refurb and reopen in the Fall of 2008 with a new name.

The L'Originale Alfred di Roma Ristorante is scheduled to close on August 31, 2007.

Starting September 1, 2007, this location will become part of the Patina Restaurant Group. Noted for their "Naples" restaurant in Disneyland, the Epcot venue will feature the cuisine of Master Chef Joachim Splichal.

Does anyone know if they are excepting ADR's for September yet?:confused3

I just called to get reservations at Alfredo's and found out they were closing. I asked about getting reservations at the new restaurant Tutto's, but they are not taking reservations and the lady I spoke with doesn't have any other information and does not know when they will be taking reservations. :(
