For anyone who has had dinner at Alfredo's, how is the food? I would love some opinions! Thanks for the help! :thumbsup2

The last time we were in WDW was April 2005 and I was pregnant. I think the food there is really good. The time before that we went for lunch and sat outside. They had the most delicious Italian Sangria!

Alfredo's is solid italian food. Nothing great but pretty good. Its is a pleasant place to eat with a nice atmosphere. There are probably italian places where you live at least as good and less expensive (at least thats true here in NJ) but its still pretty good.

Alfredo's is on a very short list of places we will not go back. The food was bad, the service rude and the tables way too close together. People swing their napkins in the air .. and getting hit in the head by a person's dirty napkin is not my idea of a good dining experience.

When I want Italian at WDW, I head to Mama Melrose, Palio or Portobello Yacht Club.

We enjoy the food at Alfredo's but the service always seems rushed and the tables are very close together

We have been once. The food was so-so, nothing to go MMMMM about. For Italian, I think Mama Melroses is better, tastier at least. The service was lousy. We were only there with maybe 5 other tables the whole time, yet we saw our waitress only 2 times I think. But things change and it could have improved.

We have eaten there twice, the first time was a few years ago so we went back again this past December. We had the tomato salad (shared) and it was delicious, we both had the sampler plate offered at that time. It had lasagne, fettuccini alfredo and spaghetti bolognese. The food was fantastic but way too rich....after a few bites we were stuffed. We both agreed that the lasagne was a tad weird, it had a creamy white sauce instead of traditional ricotta cheese. We shared the dessert sampler with tiramisu, canolli, chocolate covered strawberries and a few other sweet treats.

We would definely go back but for lunch the next time and order light....after we left we were so full!

I like Alfredo's and prefer it for dinner. It is a bustling Italian restaurant, speedy service is what I noticed, but food is good. Also, the Italian accordian player was wonderful and everyone was singing.. we loved it.

Being an Italian American from New York whose wife cooks wonderful Italian food and who goes to an Italian restaurant more often than not when we eat out, I am a bit of a snob when it comes to Italian food. We had read some poor or "mens a mens" reviews of Alfredo's and were reluctant to eat there. But we kind of fell into Alfredo's two years back.

We liked it very much! And we loved the Sangria!

Just wanted to add here that I am Italian as well and love to cook Italian food like my Mama.. I thought they did a good job. :)

We have eaten there once and will probably not be back. It was not busy when we were there but the food was only luke warm.

Well, I'm not too fond of the restaurant Alfredo's, last year I didn't eat the food because I didn't like it, its very crowded and the tables are very close. Its a tight squeeze, I would rather go to Palio at the Swan.

I loved Alfredos. It was the best Italian restaurant in Disney. Go there for lunch and get the Lasagnette Pasticciate alla Modenese - lasagna prepared Modenese style: strips of pasta layered with bolognese and cream sauce, mozzarella and parmesan cheese $15.50. I get it with tomatoe sauce instead because I am a vegetarian.

I'm glad to hear that, you just made my day!

LOL....we think you should author a book on reviews! (Seriously) I have friends who arrived at Disney today. My brother was there last week. I've been telling everyone to do a search for your reviews. Vegetarians or not, they found them helpful. I like your approach to the reviews - you seem to hit on and comment on everything we'd like to know when deciding on going to a restaurant to eat. Food of course, selection, atmosphere, crowds, how the staff is, resolutions to problems, etc. Keep em comin'!!!
