Shot in the dark, haha. Have any of you ladies worn, or plan on wearing this dress? I was just wondering if any of you have made (or if it is even possible to make) alterations to this dress adding cap sleeves, or buttons to the back zipper, or anything like that?

That's my dress! :cutie: I'm going to have a bustle added, but that's it. There are lots of other brides on here who have worn (or are going to wear) that same dress, so they might be able to help you a little more. I don't know how you would add buttons to the back zipper, but I think you could probably add cap sleeves.

Yay, then I can definitely say, your dress is beautiful! :)

I havent seen it in person yet, hopefully soon, but I am in love with it!

And I am not sure how to add buttons either, but my best friend, who is also getting married, and I, went to try on wedding dresses (for her) and the people at the store said they coud add a corset or buttons to the back of any dress. So I was just wondering if anyone did something like this. I think the buttons would be right on top of the zipper, not actual functioning buttons? Not sure though! haha

Hopefully the other Disbrides with this dress will see the post :lovestruc

Jackie [Doombuggy] and Jennifer [Jlomac] both wore that dress!

I'd love to know if buttons could be added on! That's something I was looking for (buttons down the back) but didn't end up finding! Keep us posted! :goodvibes

Thank you! I think you will love it even more when you see it in person. :cutie: If they can find a way to add them, I think the buttons would be beautiful!

Um, I think you have me confused with someone else. My name is not Jackie and I have never worn this dress....

I have had this screen name since 2001, so perhaps you friend has a different version of it.

I'm pretty sure she meant me. Sorry about that, doombuggy!

All I did to the dress was a bustle, and I had to have it taken in a LOT up top. I think the buttons would be pretty, but I think a corset back would be a bit awkward with this dress, just IMHO.

I would definitely bustle it I think. Buttons are more my style than a corset anyways, I was just wondering if anyone actually did it! haha I think it would look nice just to add a touch of something where the zipper is!

Sorry about that DoomBuggy!

Yes, I meant you, Jackie! I forgot about the numbers in your username! :goodvibes

Sorry! :goodvibes

This dress is totally the opposite of the styles I was originally looking at, but I'm in love with it. Won't be going dress shopping for a few months, but I'm hoping I can try this one on.

This was me! I went dress shopping and almost didn't try it on because I didn't like ball gown type dresses. But I figured what the heck, tried it, and loved it! It's so gorgeous and I'm getting mine with the glitter. I'm not adding buttons , but I am having a piece of fabric made that reflects the beading on the top to accent my waist more.

hey ladies! my computer has been broken :( so I haven't been able to tell you the details on when I went and looked at the dress! So there is an Alfred Angelo store pretty close by me, which I was VERY excited about! So I went in to look, just look because I do not want to try a dress on at my current weight, and asked them all these questions! They absolutely can add buttons to the back! and cap sleeves, which I want. I did not know they had the two styles (sparkles and non sparkles) of course I loved the sparkles! I am so excited to go back and actually try it on in a few months (if they do not discontinue it because of the new line) which *fingers crossed* they do not!
