Here is my dress. I need to pick a bustle style. These two are the only types I keep seeing when I do a google search. I like the triangle looking one, but the one that connects underneath seems to be really popular.

So... ideas? One of these? Which one? Got other unique suggestions? Have you maybe worn this dress already? What style did you use?

My vote would be fore the left (French, I think) because it will give you some lift in the back and is a little more romantic for your dress. If you were to go with the right (english/american?), the triangle that is created by lifting the fabric over would interfere with the tulle swags on the sides and wouldn't look like it matches up.

I don't believe there are any other mainstream options in terms of bustling, so these would be your best bet.

JMHO, but best of luck with your decision!

I think either one would look great with the back of the dress, but the one on the right might be easier for your maid of honor/whomever to do for you. I'd also ask the seamstress if one is more secure than the other.

I wore the belle dress my wedding last month. I did a bustle similar to the left one. It was what my seamstress recommended. You have to remember the dress is heavy! So it actually got bustled in 3 spots. I'm not sure how to explain what they did! But if you go to my pj I have a link to my slideshow. There should be some photos of the back of my dress bustled. I will try to find some to post here when I get home. We haven't gotten all of our photos yet! I was really happy with the way it looked but there is still some dress left dragging on the floor so by end of night it was a mess. It looked beautiful though!!

I got married last month, and while I did not wear that dress, I had the exact same bustle in the picture on the left. I was told it was called a double french bustle. It looks so pretty and elegant. My seamstress did all of the loops and ribbons color coded, so it was fairly easy for my bridesmaids to bustle it up. :thumbsup2

I like the one on the left as well. It looks classy. The one on the right looks "tidy" - if that makes any sense!

I don't have this dress, but the lovely lady who did my alterations did walk me through the bustle options. The one on the left is French, the one on the right is American...she said French bustles tend to be stronger. (I went with that - not only did it look beautiful, but I'm a klutz!)
