thinking of switching our Cape May dinner to Ale & Compass. We’re staying at YC, so we’d like to stay around hotel area. Initially thought if CMC, but we’re not really seafood eaters. I was worried that Ale & Compass would be a blah experience (especially for a 9 yr old). We’d love to go to B&C, but there never seems to be an ADR. Any recent Ale & Compass dinner experiences?

Ale and Compass is much better than Cape May at this point. Cape May used to be one of our favorites but it has gone downhill. Yachtsman is the best, by far, but it is also a much different price point and experience. If you want a non-signature meal, Ale and Compass is very good all-around (food, atmosphere, service).

Yes, we thought of Yachtsman, but thought it might too much with a 9 year old & the high prices. I thought the atmosphere of Cape May would be festive with kids, but it pricey given that we don’t eat seafood. What kind of things do you recommend at Ale & Compass?
