Ok...so I certainly don't NEED to drink nor does my DH. But, heck, we're going to be on vacation and a cold brew or fruity drink a couple times during the week would be very yummy! Especially since there will be no driving going on.

My question is...I know at TS restaurants we can order a drink, but are there places you can walk up and get drinks? If so, in which parks? Also, are they insanely expensive? If mean if they're $12 a pop never mind.:scared1: That will add up quick.:teacher:

MK is a dry park.

All others have alcohol. I'd say $7/$8 would be the average. World Showcase has the biggest selection.

Epcot will have the most variance - from wine, beer or a margarita.

Drinks start about 5.00 and go up. I hear there is a fantastic Grand Marnier Slushie in France and I think I read that one was either 7 or 8 dollars.

HS is the only park that has a bar by typical standards. It is the 50's Prime Time Lounge, which is attached to the 50's Prime Time Cafe. You can also get beers near the end of the backlot tour.

MK is dry.

As long as you stick to beer or wine it shouldn't break the bank. Be wary of drink menus at the resort with no prices listed. Those are usually premium beverages and will cost you quite a bit more.

IIRC bottled beer is about $5-6, and mixed drinks are ~$8.

Pretty much every country in World Showcase at Epcot has drinks from their country. Some really good places are the margarita stand in Mexico, the Grey Goose Grand Marnier (sp?) slush and the champagne/pomegranate drink in France I think. And there are small glasses of wine in Italy. And beer in Germany. All at walk-up stands.

Drinking your way around World Showcase is a fun way to spend the day.

Have a great time,
Candee

In AK, Flame Tree has beer. Also I found out on another thread that you can purchase beer, wine and limitted hard liquior at many resort gift shops. Beware, however, that the last thread I read on the subject got VERY nasty about the evils of drinking! My feeling is, as you stated, it's my vacation, I'm not driving, and the price precludes getting completely blotto! Enjoy your trip AND your beverages!:woohoo:

Did they get rid of the bar near Tusker House in AK???

I did not see it mentioned. If not, there is on near Tusker House in AK, :goodvibes .

The Dawa Bar? I'm sure it's still there.

In AK, you can get alcoholic beverages at the Dawa Bar (next to Tusker House) or Yak & Yeti Quality Beverages. Also all the CS restaurants sell beer - usually for about $6.

World Showcase in Epcot has the best variety by far, with many of the pavillions having walk up windows.

Enjoy your vacation!

I like to relax in my room after a long day of Disneying. So I just buy a refillable mug, and I bring a half-gallon with me.
The onsite gas stations have convience stores with reasonably priced beer too.

If you like a good brew go to the pub in the UK - they have a great selection of beer and hard cider too.

No worries - be happy! Once upon a time there was a thread devoted to pictures of alcoholic drinks - at Polynesian they have the Lapu Lapu that is rum served in a pineapple (its pricey of course -but oh so good) and there is that Glowtini that is blue with a blue glow cube that is fun!!

Travel Channel's Samantha Brown did a secrets of WDW and did buy in France Epcot the Gran Marnier Slush - they also have champagne but I wait and get the Rosa Regale Champagne in Italy - its a red berry fruit flavored joy!! The Grey Goose Slush and Gran Marnier Slush gets lots of attention (just google those words, and narrow it down in google's advanced search to disboards.com!!) Grey Goose is citrus flavored and light, Gran Marnier is more like the liquor Gran Marnier, dh loves it!!

Just got back today from a week of free food and very expensive drinking.

Lapu Lapu $13 (too strong- won't try again)
Glowtini $12.75 (bought it only for the cube)
Grey Goose Slushie $9 (sooo good!)
A bottle of beer at the resort gift shops $5 (way over-priced!)
18pk Bud Light at Hess $15.99

At Epcot- there is a stand near Morocco maybe that sells a 12 oz bottle of beer for $3.75 if you wanted something small.

I have all my receipts so ask if you need more info!
