Alcohol Costs

I want to buy some Rum either in Nassau or on the ship. (I realize that if I buy it on the ship I won't get it until the night before departure, but that's OK.)

Has anyone else bought Rum or other liquor? What did it cost?

I am trying to finalize my budget even though as you can see below my trip isn't until December 16th. But I have become addicted to planning this trip.

Does anyone have prices on any other alchols?

I was wondering about Kahaula (sp) and Baileys. Is it cheaper on the ship than in Nassau?

The rums, flavored, made in nassau...very good..were around $5 or $6 per bottle.

Don't drink Khalua, because Kamora is so much better if you like a liqour like that. There is plenty of Khalua in nassau though, and yes, most everything is much cheaper there.

They have these great little boxes for sale like $1 or $2 that you can put the bottles in to carry them back to the ship and home, with handles, very sturdy, they pack everything great so nothing gets broken.

You can bring back two bottles per adult back to the United States. I checked the prices for what I wanted to buy on the ship before going to Nassau and found that it was cheaper on the ship. In fact the man working in the store on the ship told me that and he was right. Just check the first night then you will know which is cheaper.

We did the Western cruise. In Cozumel the liquer store for duty free purchases is at the end of the pier you disembark from. We bought Bacardi Rum 1.75ltr for 11.00, Kahlua 980ml for 8.00 and Johnnie Walker Bkue label was 126.00. No tax. Duty is only due on anything over i bottle per adult. We had 3 bottles extra and of course chose the 3 cheaper bottles to claim, duty free agent said no charge and signed our ticket....Mark

what SIZE bottles are you limited to?

I know coming across from Nogales
Mexico it is 2 - 750 ml bottles.
