Albertsons & Goodings - Open on Xmas Day

Albertsons is open from 9 - 4 and Goodings first opens at 2:00 pm on Xmas Day.

Shop-a-holics may be excited by this but think about the family members of folks working retail. My husband works at Hannoush Jewlers and puts in mega hours starting after Thanksgiving. I'm certainly not advocating people to stop buying jewelry but I would love to go back to the days when malls were closed on Sundays or at least close early afternoon. People should enjoy life with friends and family and stay out of the stores on the holidays!

Ummm... I don't think it is terrible. I am arriving on Xmas day and needed a grocery store and wanted to share my info with others who will be visiting down there and might need the services of a grocery store.

Guess what.. the airlines are running with people working... the hotels are open, the Theme Parks are open, and tons of restaurants are open. This is a tourist area. When I get off the plane I want to be able to pick up my car... wow.. the rental car offices are open, and I would like to purchase food and essentials for my family for the start of our vacation. And yes.. the grocery stores where I live in NJ are open for part of the day for those of the Christian faith to pick up last minute items. and for those who don't do Xmas.

For those who need to be home because of religious convictions, they are home. They take the day off and tell their bosses they cannot work that day. I am sure others love the fact that they are getting extra holiday pay. I know my son used to love working all holiday it was like quadruple overtime.

I will step off my soapbox now.
