Albertson's buy $100 in gift cards, get $20 on next purchase is back!

Does anyone know if ACME's deal has also been extended to 6/22? My store signs say 6/18, so I just assumed it was over. I would buy another $200 if it is still going on. I've spent $80 in Catalinas so far.

Edit: I confirmed that it expires 6/22 on the current ad. I should have checked there first, but the sign in the store threw me for a loop. Going back tomorrow for more.

I know someone who bought one at albertsons this week and it did not give her the catalinas. She asked the cashier before she bought it and was told it would work so when it didn't, the manager at customer service ended up giving her a gift card in the value of the catalina which has no expiration so it turned out to be a good deal. However, I just read on another board that they are passes aren't supposed to give out catalinas since they aren't gift cards so I don't think it would work for you. However, the passes they have at albertsons that I saw are still at the older prices.

Yep, although Disney passes are displayed with the gift cards, they're classified as event tickets, so catalinas don't print out when you buy them.

I was able to get the deal with an AP voucher; but like the example above, only because I specifically asked if if was included before purchasing and was told yes. A manager had to manually over ride the system. I'm sure that won't happen again at my store since everyone is now aware of the rules of the promotion, and of the difference between event tickets and gift cards.

Like the PP said, all the AP and ticket vouchers I saw were still at the old prices though, at least for now. So might be worth looking into, even without the GC promo.

Thanks for posting this. I needed to put the deposit down on our room today and so I went to Jewel and bought gift cards. Deposit paid, earned a little grocery money...win-win!
