Alaska on July 19th, 2011 "Where a good tan is hard to find"

That sounds great, my DH and I are going w/o kids for the first time at the end of May (they grew up).......:cool1::cool1:

That sounds great....the part about the kids growing up:rotfl2::rotfl:

Just kidding...have a good time, like I said it was a total different experience without the kids!

We are having major melting here. It's a really nice day. We can actually see bare ground in a few places.:thumbsup2 The mountains of snow in the parking lots will be here for a while, though. :confused3

It's funny the looks people give you when you say you are going to WDW without kids. :confused3 We spent 8 days there in Feb. (the longest time without kids) and I was a little concerned that we'd be bored as we go down often. The biggest surprise to me was how quickly the week passed and we still could have stayed a few more days as we didn't do everything we wanted to do! You will absolutely enjoy it!!!

Gary-We haven't had any real amounts of snow on the ground for awhile, I do believe you received more than we did this year.

Mary Ann- I agree, it is a treat both with and without the kids. Some people don't think you can go there or on a Disney Cruise without the kids. For us, our last two cruises were without, and we will be sailing Disney for two weeks in Sept. without them as well. We do make sure they get their Disney time as well, as we did 10 days at Christmas and New Years with them. I am a firm believer in some away time as parents, with the amount of time we spend with their activities and such, we need the getaway!

As I mentioned, this will be a first for my DH and I at WDW at the end of the month. I am hopeful that we will enjoy other experiences which we usually forego due to the kids......suggestions???;)

We liked the behind the scenes tour at Magic Kingdom, and visiting the drinking establishments in Epcot! Just actually shopping on Main Street was different for us. So many things you can slow down and enjoy!

Good morning cruisers!
I've already been looking into how we're going to get to and from the ship from Erie, PA. We have an airmiles reward credit card that we think we can use but we're not sure whether to fly into Vancouver or Seattle. We have friends we could visit in Tacoma before the cruise. How is everyone else handling this?:confused3

We are hoping the air fares are decent enough to fly into Vancouver. It would just be easier than flying to Seattle and taking a bus to Vancouver.

But then again, it is all about the price. We will have to see.

I think we will fly to Seattle, then take the train to Vancouver. Looking at this year's prices, it is about half the price to do it that way as opposed to flying straight to Vancouver. Plus, it will give us a chance to spend a full day in Seattle. Our kids (even though they're not really kids anymore!) have never been there and I think they would enjoy the city.

That's the plan for now, though it may change 20 times before the trip actually gets here!:)

We are still planning (meaning it will probably change) on flying to Seattle or Bellingham I believe, and taking a Hydrofoil up to Vancouver. We are going to wait and see what the prices might be nearer our trip.

We're thinking of doing something similar as we've never been to Seattle and figured it would be nice to tour it for a day or two and then take the hydrofoil over to Vancouver.

Welcome to another Monday.:sad1: Beware the Ides of March!!!:scared1:

I don't think it refers to the one-hit-wonder rock band from the 70's either.

Who knows what their one hit was?

Even better, they had a follow-up release that did marginally well regionally.
Any guesses on that?
