How late do most shops in town stay opened? Thinking of doing a longer excursion but still want time when we are done to explorer the town. Thanks!

I think this is probably the same, many years later, as posted in Cruise Critic about this same question.


These food and drink establishments have later hours and have merchandise.

Most of the stores have posted hours, with closing times from 5-7 pm.

The two places we wanted to visit were a quilt shop (closed at 5) and Klondike Doughboys (closed at 6). Our Yukon Expedition excursion got back at 5:30 so it was a rush to make it in time for two doughboys each !! We were sad to miss the quilt store but the doughboys were great !

We noticed a lot of the other shops closing around the same time, 5 or 6 pm.

I have been seeing those doughboys on YT videos. You had TWO each?! Aren’t they as big or bigger than a hand? They must be good.

They are huge (about the size of a dinner plate). They are delicious. We had two each and could have gone for a third each, but it we had early dinner and were already going to be late (we let our servers know the night before) plus we wanted to actually have "room" for dinner !

We bought one each, ate it there and loved it so much we got a second each which we ate as we walked back to the ship.
